While I will say Round based MP will always have a place Planet Side 2 is paving a very nice way for the future and it seems like Bungie's new multi-platform MMOFPS Destiny is also aiming to be like Planet Side to but with much more factions.
They really didn't, both sides thought they did but in Primordium it was revealed that they purposely did not attack them because they were to be the next in line for their test of the Mantle due to how much the humans were willing to sacrifice to fight them off.

The humans did not really drive the flood back, they and the Forerunners thought, they saw how much the humans were willing to sacrifice so they decided to not attack them and test them later since they seem to be directly linked to a Precursor intelligence.

Yeah and she is being held prisoner on the ship. A lot of fans were angry about that but she did kind of kidnap and kill a few kids, yeah it helped win the war but that war ended.

There are plenty of people who play Halo for the story, you may not like the story but a lot of people do.
Hopefully they put it up again soon. I imagine a lot more people want to play it now since Gorund Zeroes was revealed.

Halo CE was badly put together, had terrible voice acting and shitty gameplay? I have no idea what game you were playing then.
Also the point of the game was to NOT change anything, Halo CE is a classic and you do NOT change a classic. Also to many new players they simply can not get into it due to the graphics, its a sad truth but a lot of new gamers are pretty shallow.
What 343 did (it was actually Saber Interactive who made Halo CEA) was no different than ...
