Most 360 owners don't care about games being on PC b/c if they had a gaming PC, they would realize how stupid it is to have a 360. I have a gaming PC and a PS3. With both of those it gives me zero reason to own a 360. 360 owners hate on games they can't play and to the majority of the PC community, the fact is the 360 is killing PC gaming (the large majority of the 360 library is on PC not just some). X-Box will never come close to PC. Just b/c you don't know enough to build a PC, doesn't mean that the X-Box will replace it especially for the majority of PC players. Most PC players will vouch that the X-Box is a ripoff. The only consoles out are the Wii and PS3. The X-Box will always be the uninformed alternative.

Is that supposed to be a jab at how online play is on PC or PS3 because I can attest that I have few problems on either platform. Paying $50 for something I already have b/c they claim it improves my gaming experience or so that it gives access to certain features like Netflix is still a major ripoff.

I agree that piracy did more or less destroy the interest of developers for games on the PSP. In the case of the next gen consoles on the other hand, the 360 and Wii have both been hacked and pirated on, but both still are doing quite well. Even the DS is doing well despite hacking. Not all programmers like to hack and probably fewer do than most people think.
I have a PS3 and love it, but losing the Other OS option was a bit annoying as I actually planned on using it. Even have a copy of Ubuntu Linux on my laptop HDD long before they decided to remove it as proof. I'd love to see if people accuse me of just downloading Linux just to pretend I was going to use it on my PS3. Sony's firmware updates for the PS3 have always gone up by .01 every update. Why would they up the number by .05 all of a sudden just to rid us older PS3 owners of a feature? My theory is that they upped the number by .05 since 5 days from the announcement being released the update is on April Fool's Day and that they will just add features instead of removing them. The main purpose of the quote you quoted was to point out that a majority of PS3 owners have no reason to get an X-Box 360 since like 95% of 360 games are on PC, something of which most PS3 owners own as well. Why buy a 360 to get, more times than not, a lesser quality and more expensive version of a game? Sorry, but not buying a gimped PC knockoff for a small amount of exclusives and expensive accessories seems like a smart move to me.

Though in the end, there's really little denying the comparison between a gaming pc and 360. Most of the library is the same except there is no fee for online play, the games are usually cheaper/look better, and the accessories are much more affordable. To me, the 360 is a poor man's gaming PC in disguise as a console and is single-handedly destroying PC gaming. Does that make that a fact? No. That is just my opinion.

I actually don't see anything wrong with saying you feel sorry for someone with the 360 version because it's more sympathy than 360 fanboys give to Sony fanboys when the roles are reversed with ports. Good for 360 players for being able to play it though, despite the graphical differences. Beggers can't be choosers, I suppose.
Never heard anyone use the argument implied in this article. I thought the 360 was blamed more for the delay of the release and cut content of FF XIII(which at least partially gimped the game). Both of those reasons are legit at least. Another nice pro-MS, anti-Sony flamebait article, Jim!
I'd probably boo too unless I won it. Then at least I could E-Bay FFXIII and use the money for something worth getting on X-Box. Hell, I'd love to get a free 360 since I don't see myself buying one in the foreseeable future...that is unless they build in the wi-fi, use regular 2.5" HDDs, make Live free, and get more actual exclusives (most games I would want on the 360 I can already get for my gaming PC, cheaper and looking way better). One can dream I suppose.
If digital distribution is the way, then the price you charge for HDDs sure doesn't show it. Why don't you straight up tell people to go ahead and get a PS3? Hell, even a decent gaming PC would be a better investment with all the extras you have to get for a 360. At least give people an excuse that makes sense.
