You do know charts are paid for as advertising by publishers right?
@Obelisk92
Dude, that's why I said; 'minus a few anomalies.' Those anomalies being games such as Wii Fit, Wii Party, Wii Play, Wii Sports, Wii Sports Resort... see the trend?
But then you look at games such as the Halo and Call of Duty franchises (as much as I cringe while calling Call of Duty hardcore) Metal Gear Solid, Gears of War, Gran Turismo, Forza, Grand Theft Auto and so many more all of which are aimed at the hardcore audience the number...
Hardcore games generally smash casual games in total sales numbers, minus a few anomalies.
Might be worth pointing out those numbers at least for the UK are hardly relevant. Killzone 3 was only released in the UK today (Friday February 25th) whereas Just Dance 2 has had the whole week to shift units.
'2. Sports Champions 2, Featuring boxing, bass fishing, gulf and more'
Gulf indeed...
Not a single one of those images was concept art. Although it is probably a good idea to point out that screen shots and moving images are two very different things and screen shots will always look better than the game in actual moving action.
European Playstation 3 launch date was 23 March 2007, 4 months after the US launch. Heavenly sword was released in September 2007 so there was a good 6 months between European Playstation 3 launch and Heavenly sword release and a further 10 months between US Playstation 3 launch and Heavenly sword release.
Just some useful info to save any confusion but still I'd like to say the point does still stand that there were very few major Playstation 3 games available even in Se...
@Cozmo19
Agreeing or disagreeing with a comment is also an opinion... Just because someone puts an opinion out there doesn't mean others have to like it.
Really people? Really? This is a mock up, it is definitely not an image of the real thing, for so many reasons. Just look at it.
That's funny because I work in GAME and Kinects have been selling as soon as we get them in and today we had no stock at all. Move isn't doing to bad itself, Starter packs have been flying out the door.
Gran Turismo 5 is the best game I've bought all year and as a fan of the series since the very beginning, I can say I am majorly satisfied.
It took Polyphony 6 months to create each car? Ok so that is 515 years and 6 months, that this game has been in development. Oh yeah and the 2 years for that lap you are talking about, so thats 517 years and 6 months. Impressive.
Side note we got GT5 in stock at Game on Friday and my manager won't let me buy it until Monday, 2 days early still i guess but seeing it right there, completely real and in working order... brings a smile to my face, can't wait until Monday....
You can rewind replays. It's the actual race that you can't rewind. You know some racing games give you a second chance and you can rewind after crashing? Yeah? Well this is a DRIVING SIMULATOR. You ever tried rewinding a real life crash? Doesn't work does it, so why should it be in a DRIVING SIMULATOR? Get out of here.
One thing i must say about this game as fun as it has been so far, the thing about your sword morphing and changing and being unique to your fighting style and you as a whole is not true at all. The only time my sword changes is when i upgrade my melee skill and so far all the stages of my swords development look identical to the swords shown in trailers and demo's of the game.
Yeah that's the cool thing, most of the bugs I have seen have been funny like a Ghoul getting its head stuck in the ceiling while still trying to run, and the bugs aren't common enough to be a major issue. Also the music adds to the overall hilarity of the game, blowing mutants heads off to some 50's country and western makes possibly one of the most entertaining experiences I've had on a game since Vice City.
The game has crashed for me once and the frame rate isn't great but I'm enjoying it nonetheless. I've put about 10 hours in so far and haven't got much to complain about.
Edit: Also lets remember it is an RPG, it was never meant to be a quick play through linear style game, it does require a hell of a lot of work to 100% it. If that isn't your style of game then move on to something else.
I have a copy of the PS3 version in my hand right now, clearly says '720p' on the back.
Edit: And I am getting disagrees why? I'm stating a fucking fact. Never said the game was good or bad it's just a fact. Thought it might be helpful, guess not.
I'd like to know how many years in total people have played Pokemon games for because that number must be huge.
Game looks really good and yes I understand that it isn't an arcade racing game and is a driving sim, but PD still haven't quite nailed the sense of speed from what I've seen so far. Still a day one purchase for me either way.
Wow.
I want Sony to do a limited edition run of the PS3 boomerang controller just so I can see what it would have been like.
