It may be vacuous but that is the reality of an industrial world, this isn't the renaissance era. Just as I stated before the ideals of video games have changed since its now mainstreamed media.
To answer your question on finding a demographic to make innovation its quite simply like this, I want to make an action game that appeals to not only action game players but also to fighting game players, so with the experience I've seen in most of the critically acclaimed ac...
@Manchild I believe it was German philosopher Immanuel Kant who said, "Peace is an unnatural state for human society."
Though I digress the world was just as chaotic before the 66 years of existence of video games.
andshesays, I am most certainly genuine while I express my opinion on your PS2 collection as someone who yearns for a Viewtiful Joe 3 with Kamiya at the helm, along with playing every Onimusha game ever to exist slashing away at the demons in my way to topple Nobunaga Oda the Demon King's evil ambition (except for Dawn of Dreams where it was Hideyoshi Toyotomi), and still I have a great love of the classic RE games on the PS1 along with Code Veronica on the Dreamcast and PS2.
Games may be art however the issue is now they've become mainstreamed so they also bear the duality as a product. Though I will say it wasn't the demo that turned me off at DmC, the demo just more or less gave me closure on what has been the most debatable game among gamer's ever.
No it was this quote Tameem gave, "Usually the worst creative crimes are made when you're trying to make a game for someone else - some perceived demographic that, in all likeli...
A slight trip on a very tiny pebble.
So I see your already a fan of Killer is Dead :D
Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA!
*Deep Breath*
No way.
Great list of PS2 games :D
Really! Quite literally when they mentioned honing in on the experience you get from a large screen, and surround sound. That just made me ask why wasn't it made for a large format in the first place?
Circa year 2008 never in my life had I seen so many games get so many 10/10 perfect scores.
So in short yes the system is massively inflated.
The second you mentioned it was about the hair, you lost all of your credibility.
Me I personally don't approve of people outsourcing their products, I can understand if Capcom wants to have DMC to have a more western appeal (even though majority of their sales for DMC games were from the west anyways). Though if you want to achieve this, they should of done it themselves rather then rely on another game developer. I mean Capcom is a big company it has not only a JPN bran...
I'm more concerned with a line needing to be drawn for accessibility.
I've said my piece about this game. All I can really say is if Capcom wants to make things right for the people who don't like the new direction have this game as an alternate reality story and confirm that you will revisit the old DMC series with a DMC5.
Other then that, anyone who enjoys the game more power to ya.
Well the Soul Hackers 3DS port has been announced for a 3DS NA release and Atlus is wokring on SMT4 on the 3DS. They've also been working on Persona 5 since Persona 4; its more or less they know we know they are working on it they just don't want to say anything.
DMC Death Threats?
Hideo Kojima got death threats originally when he stated he wasn't going to be helming MGS4, why didn't anybody bring that to light?
Everybody complains about everything, video games aren't the only thing.
People have been complaining about bands in music for years if the lead singer or drummer changes then the old fans of the band will say this band now sucks conversely this change will attract a new group of fans who disprove of what the old fans of the band have to say thinking that the new direction is awesome.
In short, there is no answer....
Those are concepts that are in any kind of game. Each DMC game has gone out of its way to be different (It's been awhile since DMC2 so my thoughts on that are a little rusty).
DMC1: Enemy Juggling System
DMC3: Player picked Combat Styles
DMC4: Able to switch the first four styles from DMC3 plus Vergils style on the fly with the D-pad.
I believed the next logical step would've been to have users able to select which play styles they can...
Well played Gamestop I'm more and more hating your tactics on trying to monopolize this business...
Demo comes out on January 22, its the one that came with the ZOE HD Collection which I've played numerous times. I will say the controls for this game are perfect.
I'll have to wait and see if Nintendo gets a strong 3rd party support instead of relying solely on its 1st party and 2nd party developers.
