I hated this series so much. I never understood the love for it.
I think the question is whether or not there is a development team that could make Primal Rage into a quality game.
Are you nuts? Pokemon is pretty much universally considered by any of us who are actually in game dev as the series that pushes and spin-off from the core franchise more than any other.
Puzzle games like Trozei, League and Challenge.
The Pokemon Mini system
Action RPG's like Ranger
Roguelikes like Pokemon Mystery Dungeon
Old School Beat 'Em Ups like Rumble
Weird things like Pokemon Channel and Hey You Pi...
This really is one of the worst game ideas ever. It'll be interesting to see how many people purchase this thing.
Jesus, there were nearly 100 point and click adventure games released in 2009. I'd hardly call that a "dead" genre.
Yes, on-rail shooters are a nice genre that died out with the Dreamcast.
Which is why Panzer Dragoon Orta sold so well on the Xbox, Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles sold so well on the Wii and why Sega was so pleased with how both House of the Dead 2 & 3 Return and House of the Dead Overkill sold.
I guess Time Crisis was a failure too.
two months later, I'm still loving this game. Alas, no new passwords since the original 17.
I'm shocked no one has picked up the license since Sir-Tech went out of business. The name value alone should have been enough for some company to show interest.
I love Full Motion video games.
Since the original was co-developed by Midway, did they possess any rights to the series, or does Rare now own the whole thing?
There wasn't one for the Dreamcast.
PD1, Zwei and Saga were all on the Sega Saturn
Orta was on the Xbox
Mini was on the Sega Game Gear
R was on Tiger's weird handheld
PD1 was remade as Sega Ages 2700 for the PS2, but that was a Japanese release only.
PD1 and 2 were ported to the PC as well.
Orta was on the Xbox, not the Dreamcast.
I have to admit I love Planescape, but I don't know all the legal mumbo-jumbo that would be involved in making a sequel. Interplay doesn't have the D&D rights anymore, do they? As well, this was second Edition and they're up to fourth now. Would WOTC even allow a second edition game to be made these days?
Lots of errors with this story. This DVD re-release for XP and Vista systems has been out for a month and the price here is actually more than what you can normally pick it up for.
I imported it for twenty dollars plus shipping off on Amazon.co.uk when it came.
AS WELL, the site Gamernexus links to is selling the Region 2 version which is encoded as such, so make sure your PC can play Region 2 DVD and games.
As much as I'm happy Planescape has b...
Okay, SAF2 for the SENS is pretty much universally considered one of, if not the, worst fighting game ports ever.
Yet this site gives it a 6/10.
Good to know inflated scores are still all the rage with the average gaming review site.
I understand the lack of quality of the one author, but before judging the rest of the site I would ask that you give the other authors a chance. There are some good folks on the site.
It's been a weekly feature for about two months. So far Diehard GameFAN has done:
Sept 31st - Mutant League Football
Sept 7th - Hylyde

Sept 28th - Streets of Rage
October 5th - Phantasmagoria
October 12th - Clock Tower
October 19th - Shadow Hearts
October 26th - Darkstalkers

Exactly. So stick it to Aksys and give the money to Ghostlight who actually did the translation and localization.
Aksys is doing PS3 owners, Red Company fans, Agarest fans and gamers in general a disservice by publishing Agarest in such a retarded fashion. Don't give them your money - give it to the the actual localizer who is a small new European publisher as a thank you.
It's already out. I've had it for about three weeks. It was forty dollars for the collector's version and it's really well done. It's basically a tactical RPG with dating-sim elements.
The game is region free and Aksys is just using Ghostlight's translation. You might as well get it earlier, cheaper and in disc format because it's going to take up a pretty big chunk of your hard drive, especially if you're using an older PS3 model.
With such a well thought out argument and comment, you should be a writer.
