I think smartphones and tablets have taken a big chunk out of Nintendo's casual gamer target audience.
the sad part of this is that nintendo are selling wii u at a loss all ready
I'm not a sony fanboy but the ps3 was one the most advanced pieces of kit arround in it's day and it was priced at $600 i think while wii u is $299 right? and still having problems selling?
pc's are fragmented by nature even with out mantle and the one size fits all approach of direct x and opengl in my opinion is a hindrance to progression.
i think they'll be lucky to get to the 5 mil mark
Well it looks as if MS will drop the price of the xbox1 shortly after release to match the ps4 price.
Nintendo seem to have a lot riding on SM3D World's success. Because if it fails to boost wii u sales significantly then I can't see the wii u reaching even gamecube level "success"
There something that never made sense to me about TLZ:WW is if your a developer and want to try out some new art style or something wouldn't that be more suited to a new ip rather then an existing one and risk alienating fans/customers?
yeah definitely, i thought Nintendo were pretty desperate when they announced WWHD. Plenty of better games they could have ported too.
The gamepad is not a bad idea but a failure imo because its to big and looks like a prototype, while the xbox console design is very uninspired and the added cost of kinect only makes it less appealing. Sony is a consumer electronics company and they understand that you can make a technically great product but if it looks like crap it will most likely fail to sell. It's not that hard to understand is it? Wii was a good looking console imo better than xb360 and ps3 and it sold really well ...
