I'm a very experienced UT player. I've played all of the various iterations of this game.
UT3 is a fantastic game that is DIFFERENT to UT2k4. The game has incorporated the UT99(game of the year)style of gameplay in the main but with borrowed elements from the 2k series such as wall dodge etc.

How you can call that a review is beyond me. It tells the reader nothing about the actual game mechanics.

I didn't even bother to search for the pic in question but this is pathetic that ppl would pick on her. Yeah she is attractive but so what?--walk into any city and you'll find thousands of women just as attractive or more so.

This add campaign that they are using here is extremely poor. It doesn't get anyone at all pumped up about gaming. GUYS who like video games are NOT going to be impressed with a queer add like that.
These European people working in Marketing really ought to take a hint from what has been released in USA that is showing actual game footage.

It would seem logical that Ubisoft requested a change to the wording of that review. Ubisoft probably know that it's the same quality on both systems.

There was so much hype for AC that people were left with inflated expectations.
Lowering your expectations and just trying to enjoy it for what it is, is pretty good advice.
I don't know what it is but I find the Australian IGN reviewers to be the best at reviewing games on IGN. Not sure what that is the case but they don't seem to get sucked into the hype of games and also don't seem so influenced by what the other websites and magazine scores give to the games they review.
This game looks absolutely incredible. If you've ever played it on PC to a decent level, then you would realise that this is no ordinary FPS. Epic are the guys who along with ID revolutionised the FPS genre.
The strategy and skill required in this game is immense.
It looks sensational and this game will no doubt be the showcase for the Unreal engine.I hope that they do allow cross platform play between PS3 and PC because that would be the icing on the cake.
I agree with many of the posters in this thread.
EU PSN--Australia region needs to improve dramatically. I find it really annoying that all of the other regions (USA,Japan etc) get new demos and content way before us. I know that there may be an element of timing here perhaps for when games are released but come on Sony.
If you can't give us game demos at the same time as other regions then at least give us more content like tv shows, movies and music to downlo...
I think a part of the problem the bloke in the Euro gamer review had was that the said he was shot from behind or something and he didn't know how he died. He said that almost like it was a criticism but the reality of the situation is that, that is par for the course in a UT game.
