Yeah I watch movies with my PS3 but I wasn't really swayed by Blu-ray, more of an icing on the cake kinda thing.
I really hope this title makes it states side. I'm a bit of a mecha nut, and gundam goodness on the go would suit me just fine.
same here. I feel bad for this dude because he has to have the saddest life but at the same time its like, wow, that is a level of dedication you rarely see anybody put forward for anything.
What would it matter if it did go towards the average? Some sites are going to give it less than a 10, and it'll deserve the lower scores because point blank no game is with out its flaws.
*shakes head in disbelief*
So which is it? has THQ not lost enough money or did they think the 1st one wasn't a big enough blight on humanity?
Do gamers want Blu-ray? well I can't speak for everyone but I bought 2 HD consoles and a HDTV so why the hell would I want a SD video format? I personally think Blu-ray is great and think it was a great addition to the PS3. I wouldn't buy a Blu-ray add on for my 360 since I already own a PS3 but I'm sure there are lots of people that would.
its an amazon sale not a price cut.
That week is gonna be big too. Ironman kicked @$$
I really hope so. I want kratos and my girlfriend really wants nariko, but there is no way I'm spending 120 bucks just so we're both happy.
all the speedway gas stations in my area have had them for several months now.
I haven't had any problems on the PS3 either (well other than getting my monkey ass whipped, can't wait till my arcade stick gets here).
rumble is by no means necessary in these games. I use an arcade stick on fighting games so I've never played a fighting game with rumble.
While I agree the game is fun, but the konami id thing really isn't the games biggest problem IMO. The lag switching and just plain cheating is insane. I was put in a CQC hold by a guy on the ground while I was about 4 floors up in a building. People jump all over the map, countless times I've been shooting at someone and then in the blink of an eye get sniped by the same guy from the other side of the map. They really need to fix crap like this instead of adding new modes to a game that only...
They also just did a big thing with MTV over the weekend (Movie awards or something, don't like MTV myself). I'm sure that more ads will start in the next few days and even if they don't, MTV still reaches a huge amount of the target demographic.
On another note, CViper, the biggest markets for Metal Gear are the US and Europe. Japan caps out at about 860,000 units on each of the past titles
This can't possibly be real for several reasons;
1) An oversight like this could set many violent criminals, junkies, and sexual predators free to roam the streets as the rulings by every judge elected after 2000 would be void.
2) no other site has caught wind of this. This is huge enough for every news site and channel to be all over this.
3) the last line in the article throws the whole thing into question to me "Contact Jack Thompson at 305-666-4...
I don't know what to think about this. If he really hasn't heard of it, then it really could be just a rumor... but on the other hand this is the same guy who didn't know that RE5 was going to be on his system until last summer.
It seems the 10 million they forecast is for the 2008 fiscal year (april 1 2008- march 31 2009) . It does seem to be a bit modest to me, but they are better off forecasting low and exceeding that number than going too high and looking like they failed.
the only way they have any chance of handling this is if they close down the site and re-open under a new name.
I hate how they talk about the PS3 being risky. Every game I can think of that has been handled well has sold a million plus in return. Basically its only a risk if you half ass your project. Prime examples are COD4, DMC4, GTA4- gonzo sales, lost planet and orange box- toilet sales
mine downloads pretty fast. I've never really understood what all the complaining was about.
