I can imagine all the regular people (non-gamers) sitting there, waiting for American Idol results, going "WTF is this?!?" :)))
3 guys reporting problems with bricked and two can't play NetFlix disc. Good job, examiner.
Bujingai WAS pretty good - I should still have my copy somewhere. However, tt took me half a game to realize that Gackt was a dude.
When people like something - they want more of it. When they don't like it - no sequel will be made and no franchise will materialize. Natural selection.
Who cares what/who she needs, I need her! :)))
Because it doesn't list her phone number or even an email address. :(
Same thing happened with GTA4, but both versions were fine in the end.
The whole western thing MAY NOT appeal to today's 13-year olds, so there's hope.
Don't go after AAA titles, it's the FFF games with fewest copies printed that will eventually bring you money :)
That's not how collectibles work...
You're right about the developers, they certainly don't do it for money - I still can't believe how little these people are paid.
Sadly, these decisions are often not up to them. A team could be working on a game for one system and the management will decide to bring in another team to develop on the other - and that's the best case scenario. Worst case - it can end up like Bayonetta. SEGA took the 360 game and gave it to an outside developer to convert to PS3, the original devel...
The publisher (TakeTwo) won't let Rockstar do it. They need the money and can't afford to miss out on 20-30 million potential buyers. The next GTA absolutely WILL BE developed to lowest common denominator, in this case the 360.
Selling 5 million copies of a great PS3 game vs. selling 10 million copies of an OK multi-platform game - which would you prefer if you were Take-Two and Rockstar management? (I don't need to remind you that they are in this for profit, not love of games)...
That just means that the problem was on server side, not in the game. Either on XBL or whatever UBISoft uses on their end.
I love these games and I played them all, but I can't take anymore.
... that timed exclusivity does not work in developer's favor. Whether you like GTAIV or not, a time comes for any game when people no longer care - there are new and more exciting games out there.
This goes on my list of games to play when there's nothing else out. After Red Dead Redemption summer looks pretty empty, so this WKC, Yakuza 3 and Just Cause are on my B-List
ever since the interview I read here, with some dude in charge of PSP at Sony. He basically came out and said that they are shifting focus of PSP to pre-teens, with maybe a couple of hardcore games thrown in. I just hope other publishers don't follow suit.
This just made me want to replay MGS4. Too bad I'm only 2 hrs into FF13 and Red Dead Redemption is coming next month.
I guess I'll play it in July.
After GTAIV, I would like to see a demo.
