I agree, I will be getting a ps4 first but will be open to getting a Xbox if it has some killer games...hopefully they don't both think like this though as worried they may just chase the casual market
I hope they do as Sony could do with the boost as I'd hate for them to have to change from being the company who pushes for new interesting games. And would force ms to do a bit more on the game front, better for us gamers all round!!
This will not be on the ps4 in the way people are thinking, it would be comercial suicide!! if anything it will be just for the bonus content!....that being said if im wrong and sony do this i will be very suprised and will not be buying a ps4.
My favourite final fantasy game, and i have played them all from start to finish bar the mmorpgs, everything about it is amazing. It tells its story very well and the gameplay is brilliant. I miss the days where square would pack in so much extra stuff to do for the completionists, the card games especially were an awsome addtion that gave extra life to the world we were playing in and were great fun, the chocobo stuff, the little secret places that would add to the story....A PROPER WORLD MA...
you missed the point. From a clinical standpoint the phrase 'gaming is a common addiction' is factually incorrect, untill more research leads to a reclassification, which i dont see happening.
I may have come off as OTT lol its just ive been studying gamings effects on kids and found the medias representation of gaming is usually as a negative hobby that through their 'gaming addiction' makes kids violent and shoot classmates. This view bugs me as its basical...
I would argue that this is far from "concrete evidence". its strongly argued the media have created the concept of videogame addiction through a moral panic, creating a panic in society by over exaggerating the problems caused by gaming, in addition to comparing it to more serious problems such as gambling addition without much rational reason for doing so. Why dont any of the major world health organiztions recognise video game addiction as a clinical condition? overplaying is not...
skimming through the comments i think my wiiu must be broke as i get occasional lag on mario when doing multiplayer on the gamepad and my gamepad signal is tempremental if i take it to the next room. I was never expecting to be wowed by it as i brought it for my kid, but im just quite suprised how many people are thinking this is going to compete with ps4/x720...oh and the menu load times are awful!
il be expecting a £399 price tag for the premium version of ps4 and expect a £349 model with smaller hdd, either way il be picking one up day one if theres some good launch games
that fact that it is the final mix in japan is whats making me think that we wont get it in the west, really hope we do though as would like to play through it again in hd, fingers crossed!!

Ironically many of the arguments saying steam box will fail were said to be the case against PlayStation and then Xbox...the console wars or whatever you like to call them are so unpredictable, I mean I remember gaming on my nes and the ensuing 'war' with Sega gamers and fast forward many years and neither of these companies are the core gamers console of choice and to be fair the Wiis success came out of nowhere...sooo my long winded point is you can't predict well in the gaming ...
