As far as I remember, Armored Core is similar to Final Fantasy in the sense that each game is pretty much it's own contained universe and narrative. I'm pretty sure knowledge of prior games is going to be irrelevant in AC6 and the series' strength lies in the action-packed gameplay anyways. I'm trying to put everybody on to this game because the series is amazing fun and typically has LOTS of (free) customization. I encourage you to give it a shot if possible. I genuinely thin...

There have been many examples of this in various industries in our recent history and yet the general population doesn't seem to understand that in the end, the product AND the customer end up suffering because of these mergers.

They still have 2 whole months to show us gameplay. I'm sure our patience will be rewarded.

Tbh I just never understand why they can't make a game based on OG Dragon Ball. The characters and narrative would lend themselves well to the video game format, I think. An RPG with kid Goku seems like it would be a slam dunk. Plus, as much as I love DBZ, how many damn times do we have to relive the Frieza/Cell/Buu sagas?

Metroidvania style traversal? Side quests? Hidden sub-boss fights? "RPG" lite skill trees? Watching this video I got a nagging sense that I've practically played this game multiple times already...

I wonder if it could be a surprise teaser for the God of War series that's supposedly in the works? The only other possibilities IMO are a DLC announcement or simply a new post-release trailer.

In my humble opinion, PlayStation typically sells so well because they consistently provide what we buy the damn console for in the first place: games! It ain't rocket science.

I know it's out of the devs' control but man is it such a letdown not allowing dismemberment of human enemies. Makes me feel like I'm fighting with a giant glow stick instead of a deadly weapon.

I understand that this game was very divisive but in my personal experiences it always seemed like most people that trashed it never even really gave it a fair chance or flat-out didn't try it.

Death Stranding is definitely not for everybody but I always encourage others to play it because the atmosphere of the game is absolutely brilliant. If nothing else, DS is a much-needed breath of fresh air in an industry saturated with battle royales, hero shooters, etc.

Looking forward to seeing more of this game soon but I'm starting to get a sense that there's no way this game will ship in an acceptable state if launched as scheduled later this year. Call it a "gut feeling" but recent big release debacles don't inspire confidence and are part of a seemingly growing pattern.

New Vegas was everything that Fallout 3 was but more polished in every way. (Plus it can't beat the setting of Vegas/Southwest America.)

I guess FIFA must also be impeding EA from innovating Madden because that franchise hasn't changed in almost a damn decade.

A quick Google search on how much EA has profited from their combined Ultimate Team modes and you will see that $2.5B (if accurate) over 10 years is chump change to them in the long term.

Maybe, just maybe, this is EA doing damage control by essentially saying they don't need FIFA and that, if anything, they were a detriment ...

With all due respect, it's quite laughable that you frame your comment as such a forgone conclusion considering this is an industry where employee abuse seems to be far more pervasive than previously known and/or acknowledged.

This is why I've been craving for more linear, properly structured games with a meaningful/interesting plot rather than playing yet ANOTHER open world game that most likely boasts of it's map size and uses the same tired fetch quests. It's all just so damn vapid imo.

Not to judge but I don't understand why you would get rid of your older games collection which is more likely to include titles that will be lost in the digital era? For me, collecting is not about actively playing them constantly. It's more about preserving games I've beaten and enjoyed so that maybe one day I can share those experiences with younger generations who want to play games that are no longer easily accessible or flat-out unavailable digitally.

Thank you sir, I appreciate the correction. Pandemic also developed Mercenaries I believe, right? That game too is a classic!

After all these years, Free Radical's SWBF2 is still the best overall Star Wars game to me. It had everything you could want in big fun team battles, Jedi vs Sith and the space battles were extremely well done giving you the ability to land inside a capital ship's hangar to sabotage and take it down from within.

The rate of corporate consolidation in the gaming industry lately has officially become a bit alarming to me.

Days Gone for me was just an "alright" game. Gameplay was decently entertaining with hordes as the highlight, but the characters and story were pretty damn generic and uninteresting. I mean, the protagonist's name is literally Deacon St. John and for me it epitomized the severe lack of creativity overall. Basically felt like I was playing a watered-down open-world version of The Last of Us with a story not remotely as captivating.

@Outlawzz

As somebody who has only played a handful of roguelite games and also dislikes the repetition fatigue that sets in rather quickly, I can confidently recommend Hades. Especially if you're a fan of Greek mythology, like myself, and if you enjoy narrative focused games with SUPERB writing.

Absolutely every aspect of Hades is very well-done and of the highest quality. The music, characters, writing, art style, etc. The gameplay loop is crazy add...
