That's what I've been suggesting for months now. That it's not exactly a set-top box competitor due to the lack of certain 3rd party programs/support.
If you have really been adamant about purchasing a VTV for that, might as well wait for the actual device to get Netflix, etc. not just assume stuff early on and only 720p/1080i for a 2014 Western entry 0.o

Only on my questionable quality PC monitor but if it's on a decent and big TV and I sit a few feet away, I can't. Mostly because my eyes are far from perfect (need corrective lenses in several occasions).
Hope I find a decent black friday deal of it.. at least $ 69.99 for the core unit :P

Yeah, it looks weird on the HD version. Guess the AA/blurriness of the old makes it look more "convincing", at least on this particular comparison.
Ideally, it would be a shrunk down PS4, delivering a massive amount of "true AAA" games out of the bat, w/o requiring Remote Play, relative to the VITA but still ultimately niche because of how expensive that would be and not pocketable:

I personally wouldn't call those low budget Sony published games that look like cheap indies, "support" nor cop out answers such as "Remote Play it".
