I bought a crapload of VC games when I first got the Wii... and during the first few years. There hasn't been a decent release in way too long. Where's Conker's Bad Fur Day? So many games I would LOVE to buy again, they just need to actually release them. Also, I think sales might have gone down because the novelty of playing old school games has worn off 4 years later.
Bioshock would not be the same without that ridiculously great story... but then Galaxy 2 doesn't need a story at all. Both very different games, both amazing in their own way. Then again, story doesn't mean anything if the gameplay and/or graphics are horrible. Story is not essential, kinda like lyrics in a song, it's just a nice extra. You can have the best lyrics/story, but if the music/game is crap it's worthless.
Poor Instruments would have a rough time! And I guess you would need 8 string guitars too.

I was a big fan of the original GoldenEye on N64, and as a Wii and PS3 owner, I would much rather get this game on PS3. I do love the Wii FPS controls, and some shooters on Wii look decent. Metroid Prime 3 is one of the best looking Wii titles, but the new GoldenEye looks a lot worse. The Wii is partially to blame, but the devs certainly didn't make a good effort. First thing that came to mind when I saw the sub-controller or whatever they call it now is where is the glowing sphere? Most game demos that we've seen so far use 2 Move Controllers with the spheres, except for RE5 and SOCOM. I don't think it would cost much more to manufacture it and it would make more sense. I heard that the 2nd one will be less scary and more action. I really hope they don't do that. The first Dead Space was SOOOO amazing... I have a few friends (in their 30s) who can't play it because they say it's too scary. Dead Space is the new Resident Evil... hope they don't screw with the formula that made the first one so Epic.
The original Mario Galaxy is my favorite game of all time. Looks great, plays great, they always keep the gameplay fresh so it doesn't feel like you're doing the same thing over and over. The 2D parts are really fun, especially the levels where the gravity keeps switching in the 4 directions. If Galaxy 2 is anything like the first one, it deserves a 10/10 in my opinion. If you hate it, that's fine I respect that... but don't knock it before you try it. Galaxy is AMAZING!!...

Kinda like Nintendo did with their Virtual Console games. At any time, you can hit the home button and consult the instruction manual... then you can hit home again and resume playing.
I was disappointed with MadWorld as well. But what are Retro Studios working on at the moment? Love what they did to the Metroid franchise, and now that they are moving on, I think they could do wonders with StarFox. Retro is my favorite dev on Wii.
I played the demo (or Beta whatev) at a friend's place... and I really enjoyed it. The drifting felt different from Mario Kart, but I was able to figure it out and fly through the time trial course. The fact that it has a custom track editor is really a BIG PLUS for this game... and I would also like to mention that it was VERY easy to use, much easier than LBP and much faster. Now I can play a fun Kart game at my friend's place with no Nintendo in sight. Awesome!
Just because you can't find the drifting button doesn't mean you can't drift in Mario Kart. My favorite was the N64 game, but about a month before the Wii game arrived, I couldn't wait so I downloaded the 64 version. It's not as good as I remembered (played the crap out of it back in the day). To me, Mario Kart Wii re-captured the magic of the 64 game. It is WAY better than the GC game. They say Kart punishes whoever is in 1st place and gives all the good items to the worst players. Although this is true, If you're really good (like me hahaha), you can get way ahead of the pack, and although they throw many items at you to slow you down, you often manage to stay in 1st (or at least in the top 3). I hate to say it... but why did it take them so long to make this illegal? I mean, I don't care how you do it, you're downloading copyrighted material for free! Now, maybe they'll start making quality movies if people have to spend their own money to see them.
Bought it launch day based on hype alone... game was terrible all around. Graphics were pathetic (except character models, they were OK)... even with all the customization of the controls, it was still nowhere near as good as Metroid Prime or even Medal of Honor Heroes 2. I will never even consider another Conduit game. Just saying guys, wait for reviews, and a rental may not be a bad idea.
Article should be titled : Why you should not buy an Xbox360. Seriously! I always left my disc in all my consoles/players without a problem, but I could see how the XBox would get so hot it melts the freakin disc.
