Man your bias is making you miss out on so much... yes really. All consoles have something good to offer but the PS3, there is something special about this console that can't be explained until you own one.
I know because I own all 3 consoles and love my PS3 the best.
Downloadable movies at the same quality as Blu-ray is still at least 5 years away.

Absolutely loved it, Very easy to get into. Most intuitive controls I've used in a long while. This is gonna be first day purchase for me. Can't wait.

First I have problems with a ps1 game downloaded from the Australian PSN (controller-lag) making the game unplayable, arguing with online support by being told it works ok and I don't know how to play, now this.
This pissed me off so much, I could only do one thing. If naughty doesn't care much about this region, that's fine by me.

I stopped reading when I saw the massive Halo Ad stuck in the middle of the article.
This is another negative subliminal add for the 360 to sow seeds of doubt into the gamers mind, nothing more nothing less. I'm at a point where the online sites are losing all credibility as far as I'm concerned.
One other thing I can't understand is, why are some PS3 centered sites keep putting down the PS3 so much, I mean it's like they are biting the hand that is going to fee...

I know it's not just Sony, hell I used to own a Neo Geo System used to pay $280-$450 per cartridge. Also nearly all of my Hi-Fi gear is Sony. I'm just pissed because they treat us like idiots - like we don't understand exchange rates, and the internet doesn't exist. Then they insult us with these lame reasons as to why they can't meet the US prices.

There is no more sales tax on electronic goods in Australia, only 10% GST, SONY doesn't use parity pricing in Australia, they charge what people are prepared to spend.
When 60GB PS3 first came out it was $599 US - the AUS dollar was .59 to the 1 US Dollar, so they were probably making a loss back then, it was selling for $999 back then.
Now the new 40GB console is $399 US - the AUS dollar is .91 to the US Dollar it should be about $450 -$499 if you compare it to ...
@cuco33 - BD and HD DVD have no advantage or superiority in terms of HDM.
Please get your facts right, BD is much more superior technically - it can play at higher Bit rate, Uses the better quality AVC coded and because of the larger disk space usually has uncompressed PCM Audio. (which sounds awesome by the way).
