The game is suppose to use a paint brush mechanic, obviously best put on the wii. It's not like these HD graphics are going to look that great come next generation anyway, might as well put them on a system where the gameplay will be best suited for the wii.

Sony is losing in sales dude, clearly they don't know as much as you think they do. You 3 who disagree with me may find this hard to believe but the online communities like N4G are not the majority and while we've all been clamoring for a price drop, the general public doesn't care at all.
All of my close friends have gaming systems from this gen, all of them own a 360. The 360 has become the console for "hardcore" gaming for those people who don't post on message board...
who told me price drops don't really work, especially when the only advantage to it's competition is blu ray player (which some are expected to sell around 100$ near x-mas). I'm still buying a PS3 Slim but I'll be doing it within the first couple months just like everyone else who was waiting for a drop, what happens when the people that wanted the drop have their system? Silellak, there's probably a very easy response to your question but because I'm not working for Nintendo I could never properly answer you.
If i had to take a guess I'd say they either didn't have the hardware when the wii was coming out or it was too expensive to produce at the time. Nintendo had a pretty clear strategy coming in and this could have clashed with what they were trying to do. Now that we have M+ hopefully Nintendo and other companies can take advantage.
Well it's not going always going to be the same people who complain but if I had to put a percent to it, I'd say about 70% of people who complain about this sort of thing do it for every single Nintendo event.

Code Veronica X on the PS2 was a PORT from over SEVEN years ago! There's nothing that makes it any less deserving of a remake on the wii (unless you hated it, then I cannot speak for you)
A remake using the RE4 engine would be fantastic.
