Maybe if they had a different level of third part support. It seems that their development teams are spread thin between two devices. Adding a third would probably be too much and people would be dissatisfied with the amount of content for all 3.

I think it's just because we haven't heard much of anything about it.

@DragonKnight

I don't get what exactly you are arguing. The technicalities on the definition of backwards compatible? Even if we all agreed that the PS4 is backwards compatible, it is still not being really genuine of the experience and service each one offers.

A PS4 user has to subscribe to the service to get the video of the game they chose streamed to them as they play.

A Wii U owner has to buy the games from the Virtual Console to pl...

This is a bummer. I was going to have a bunch of friends over and create levels to challenge each other. I'm going to have to postpone it until all the content is unlocked.

For that reason I didn't buy one. However, that doesn't negate the fact that Nintendo is almost the sole supporter of its home console, and taking away more resources for a "third pillar" is not a good idea. Honestly, I wish they would consolidate their next piece of hardware to that hybrid people speculated. Then all the developing teams would be making content for the same system.

The problem is how? Think of how thin the first party releases are on their current systems. They didn't magically gain more developers.

3249d ago 1 agree0 disagreeView comment

Then why did you buy the system? Of course you're going to get games cheaper on previous generation consoles. Is it that there was a lack of games or the lack of money you had to buy said games?

Even though I agree with the sentiment that they shouldn't have to adjust the date, I think it's not a PR battle worth fighting. Even though it seems Nintendo has been a little hard of hearing when it comes to public perception...

@dunban67

Thank you for reading the article. The author only states it's good because it means the nx is coming but doesn't elaborate why that is a benefit to gamers (which it currently isn't).

@jholden3249
Even though I agree on some of your points, dunban67 was replying to the authors beliefs and I wouldn't fit him in the same category as some of the other commenters who you referred to as "armchair analysts".

The word you were looking for was worse. ;)

The controller is not the point and neither are the graphics. Video games as a whole have became over encumbered with a lot of extra stuff that takes away from the actual playing component. Many video games now over utilize extraneous bs. The other day I played a sports game that focused on the statistics and realism so much that their "extra real" animations were too long and cumbersome for me to have any real control of the game. There's games with rich stories but the actual ...

I would wait until E3.

Forbidden_Darkness seriously? There was even a comment that referred to Sumo directly. I don't think anybody in this whole comment section has said anything negative about Media Molecule. The developer they are referring to in the article is Sumo Digital.

Please stop telling people to not blame Media Molecule, it makes it seem like you hear voices.

I own hundreds of older games. Some games like Chronotrigger are still easy and fun to play even a decade later. Other games due to technological advances or common deficits at the time are really hard to stomach. Rayman 2 and Megaman 64 are two games that stick out to me as two games I really enjoyed when they were released but are hard to stomach playing now.

I recommend watching the gamexplain video about the Zelda Wii U reveal where they analyzed the overworld from a screen cap. There was plenty of various locations that looked really cool. Like everybody else said, this game dosent even have a full title, there's going to be more to it.

@mikeslemonade

I don't know if you remember but n4g was all doom and gloom for the Wii U until E3.

I they spent the time and development to do that, they might as well just make a Pokémon rpg rather than a niché spin off title.

I have spent at least 100 hours playing the mission mode and trying to get platinum solo and coop. The story mode was nice but something I would replay. I would like to see pikmin 4 having more modes.

I would love to see a more fleshed out Pikmin sequel!
