I am right there with all of you who do not want to watch anything about this game before I get to play it. God of War has been my favorite series of all time and God of War 2018 still stands as my favorite game of all time (been playing videogames since I was 8 in 1976, so that's a pretty hefty compliment).
But, despite that, I watched the video... I'll just say there are a very few new little snippets of Ragnarok that you see but definitely no spoilers. As us...
Got the Jotnar edition in the US on the PlayStation store. Went back 2 minutes later just to double check my order went through and it was out of stock already.
Still waiting for all of the major US retailers to do their drops. It's currently 10:35 am on the east coast.
Personally I'm only tuning in to see if we get any God of War info.
My prediction is it will be released on September 9, 2022. I have zero factual information to support that date.
9 is a very important number in Norse mythology.
The first info was released on 9/9/2021.
Game Fest is on 6/9/2022.
It's the 9th game in the series.
9/9/2022 is a Friday and Sony likes to release big games on Fridays.
I'm going to tether the dualsense to my wrist. The temptation will be there to throw it but I'm not ready to break a new controller. Maybe I'll keep one of my old PS4 controllers handy to chuck if the mood strikes me.
Here it's what I say to all of this. MS has the marketing deal with Ubisoft for Valhalla. Series X will render in native 4k. Valhalla is basically THE launch game for X/S. And I will still guarantee one thing. Ubi will sell twice as many copies of Valhalla to PS4/PS5 owners than Xbone/ Series X owners.
Well that was freaking spectacular! The lighting was absolutely stunning. Just can't wait for this system.
I'm 52. I have 6 kids. I've been a console gamer since Ginnungagap. Don't feel guilty. I am more excited now than when I was younger. It's who we are.
These last days are dragging. I'm torn because October is my favorite month of the year and I never want it to end. But I want my PS5 too. Patience.
For those of you about to make comments about "how dare Ubisoft..." you do realize that the pre-orders for this game have been live since April and it was known then that there was a season pass that you got when you purchased the Gold or Ultimate additions. Just like every other game that has a season pass. Ubi has always revealed their roadmap of post-launch content before the release of the game. Personally, I prefer that because I know what I am getting for the extra money I ...
Huge fan of all things Viking (check out Wardruna's new single Kvitravn on Youtube). Can't wait! I'm worse than you though because I have two different CEs preordered! I'm an ASS...assin!
That is an incorrect statement.
Can't wait for this!
I'm getting three games at launch. Demon's Souls, Godfall and Spider-Man. The question is, which one do I want to be the first experience on the PS5?
Another 8+ million view Youtube video from Sony...
That's exactly what it sounds like. Good old MS. Pay to win.
That's it! I'm cancelling my pre-order!
See, what I did there? That's exaggerated rage to counter the exaggerated concern over the SSD. Otherwise known as sarcasm.
I will wait and continue to just use an external HD to swap. A year from now prices will come down and then I will reconsider.
The official PS5 teardown video on Youtube has 4.8 million views in 24 hours with 321k likes and 8.4k dislikes. We're talking about a video of a very nice Japanese VP of Mechanical Engineering disassembling a video game console. With subtitles. Not what you would normally expect for views on a technical video. Except, of course, the console was a PS5.
MS just cannot generate that type of interest. Hence, 72% looking for a PS5 sounds about right.
You own NOTHING on Game Pass. Period. If that's what you want then that's great. It's just a service.
Now THAT is a well engineered piece of hardware! More impressive than I thought it would be. The attention to every small detail like how the stand works. Amazing job Sony!
That was quite epic. Very interested.
