What we need is Dolby Atmos support for games.
My HDMI cables could support 4K and Dolby Atmos sound, my inputs are all HDMI 2.0 supported with HDCP 2.2 protection.
I think I got it? Just run the optical from the PS4 Pro to the receiver, and then change the sound settings to get 7.1, and then HDMI from PS4 Pro to another input on the TV. I mean sure I get a nicer clearer image if I connect from PS4 to TV to get the Full 4K, but the sound doesn't sound fuller as it was before for some reason. I guess it's a give...
Okay, so I tried Ziggurcat's suggestion, by plugging in ONE HDMI from the TV's HDMI ARC to the Receiver, and then ONE HDMI from the PS4 Pro to HDMI TWO on the TV, and I've also used a optical cable from the PS4 Pro to the TV, and it's still pushing out STEREO sound instead of the 7.1 that I've wanted.
I've also checked my settings on my receiver and ARC is on, on the receiver, as is HDMI control.
So, I could be able to still get 7.1 audio by just connecting my PS4 Pro to my 4K Display for full 4K, without having to connect my PS4 Pro to the receiver?
Would I still be able to get 7.1 audio if I do it your way, or are you not sure?
But, if I do that, I don't think I'll be able to get 7.1 audio.
So, I have a 4K TV, but my PS4 Pro is connected to a non-4K receiver, would I get a downsampled 4K to 1080p image? Would it look better than the regular Playstation 4?
How about by car?
Is there any reason why this doesn't include the Season Pass content? Would I be better off buying the Season Pass instead of the Royal DLC Pack?
