tools available for the SPU's has had about 3-4 years to mature. Even then as the dev from travellers tales states. THEY HAVEN'T EVEN THOUGHT OF WAYS TO UTILIZE SPU TIME. That is very significant, its like an automotive engineer coming up with a race car so advanced no one can drive it full speed right away.
but from what I have seen the Xenos or Xenon (whatever they call the gpu in the 360) is about half as powerful as the RSX. IMO it has better shaders, a better fill rate, and can produce a better color palette.
Unified shaders and what not are a gimmick that is proving to not pan out in real game applications.
