Here's the deal: You are only... What .0001% of the entire gaming community that will be playing it as a non-casual player? You take that into consideration, there will be approximately 10-20% (just for numbers sakes) that will be high-end players, achieving the highest level of play outside of the pros.

Take those assumed numbers into consideration, there wi still be approximately 80-90% of the overall player base that will need it (I've hardly used it, but my brot...

EA hasn't been all that great since the release of Bad Company 2. Let's be real here.

Best? Excuse me while I introduce my friend Call of Duty: World at War. A much stronger game that didn't need WW3 to powerhouse itself to the forefront.

I don't agree what-so-ever. Not many gamers want closed environments where they can't mod, tweak, and enhance their experience however they please. That is one massive issue with cloud gaming. There's a reason some people still buy physical over digital, DRM free, etc. No one wants a closed environment, most of us don't even want game streaming, but alas, we're getting to that point.

Also to back the idea this won't work: The United States has some o...

But is it? I have been playing it on a Shield tablet for a while now. A really long while, which is, well impressive, but it also shows how dated the game actually is, although it is a decent game. I'd have been more impressed with a supped up version of Quake 4.

I rip and tear. I've been ripping and tearing for 25 years now and will continue doing so.

@gangsta_red you haven't had that issue? Did you buy Too Human and X-Men Destiny like I did? Oh, yea, I can't download those anymore after the Epic Games lawsuit about their tampering with the Unreal Engine to make it meet their expectations.

Those Wii Shop games I bought including the SNES versions of Mario Kart, TLoZ, Super Mario Bros., etc? I can't redownload those either. That's the issue with the "all-digital" future. If a service shuts down,...

No. I'm tired of GaaS and this just makes that issue even more of an issue. Also, what about ownership of games, overall cost (you know, those datacaps? They cost money out of peoples pockets), a strong enough network infrastructure to host it here in the U.S., and the support to ensure it will actually remain stable and not hinder your gameplay at all? No. I'm good. I'll stick with custom-built PCs and consoles.

That was my entire point. One of my fellow writers asked for my two cents with an opinion editorial, so I gave it, which I'm sure was quite clear on my examples on why the philosophy of a cinematic DOOM game wouldn't work. Hell... Even RAGE 2 pretty much dropped those cinematic moments for the most part (there are some, just not as many as other games in the genre).

I'm a journalist and I facepalmed really, really, hard when this popped up on my RSS feed before I checked here to see if it was live on N4G. This guy... Just needs to go stick with cinematic FPS titles, which DOOM hasn't been, and hopefully never is outside of what LITTLE tidbits DOOM 3 had.

We were? I've been playing since PSP's Freedom Unite and I still am playing to this very day with hundreds of hours invested into every single launch. I'm even smashing my way, at this moment, through MH:GU (originally started on Double X). MH: World actually didn't leave anyone behind, it evolved, and it's being carefully designed to be one of the most intriguing titles yet. I can't wait to see what they do with Iceborn and the changes made to G and S-Rank hunts in Ic...

Gonna be that guy. They don't care about the generation to generation console war. They do their own thing through innovation. The Nintendo Switch is actually, in my opinion, one of their best pieces of hardware since the GameCube. I wasn't a fan of the DS family (DS to NN3DS/2DS) or the Wii and Wii U. The Switch, honestly, is my favorite piece of hardware they've released in a rather long time.

Those crying about the Nintendo Switch Lite... Really have their pr...

Reported on this a while back here on N4G, but my article was failed. Amazon's been doing this a lot as of late. Even with games like Cyberpunk 2077 and a few other upcoming titles.

Hate being that guy... But Stadia's about to do that if it works in practice and not just theory.

I just snorted coffee out of my nose because of this comment. RIP my nostrils for ten seconds of amusement.

Not to be that guy, but you are not 1+ million other users this could be happening to. Just because it's not happening to you, doesn't mean you can't go online and check PlayStation forums on Reddit, PlayStation, or various other pages. It's happening and it's annoying. I ended up unlinking my Twitter and FB so it doesn't spam my wall.

Weird thing I noticed. This isn't happening to everyone. When they changed the ToS about a month ago and you agreed to the updated services (if you were notified on your PS4), they actually auto-enabled the activity sharing. I just told it no. It wanted to share on Twitter AND Facebook both. I had a LOT of people asking why I was spamming the fact I was playing The Division 2, ESO, and Trails of Cold Steel II.

I'm really thinking of unlinking all my social accounts...

First books, then music, then movies, and now games. Please, explain to me how these issues don't correlate to a different underlying mental problem such as bad parenting, mental diseases such as bipolar disorder/autism/borderline personality disorder, and not as a result of video games? It's been proven time and time again that games do not cause violent behaviour, but rather, an underlying illness does.

Sony has said time and time why they aren't going to be there. They don't want to oversaturate and repeat themselves between both PlayStation Experience and E3 itself. They want time to be able to focus on their projects and give fans something to look forward to between the respective conferences. Some of it comes down to the fact they are making fewer games, but they are also doing them at a much bigger scale than before. Something I can respect. Also, Shawn Layden points it out pre...

My only concern: Loot boxes. It's why I didn't get NFS:PB. It's why I won't get another one. I don't mind MTX's if done right: Warframe and Overwatch are the BEST examples of the practice done right (meaning everything can be earned, even if there is a fast lane to those items, but within reason).

EA just doesn't seem to get that... Anthem is a prime example of how far gone they are. All those MTXs? Pass. Sure, I can earn them, but if I did the m...
