I fully expect you'll be a savvy business man one of these days. I also expect you won't have too many admirers or friends aside from the stockholders who love you for your money and not for your personality.
Some companies actually value their integrity enough not to make crap in order to turn a quick buck. You can't put a price tag on reputation.

You act like Game Arts and XSeed are some giant companies that can greenlight a project and dump tons of cash into it at the drop of a hat.
XSeed is a company run by like 20 people.
They have to be very careful and very strategic about what projects they choose to pursue.
I teared up at the end of Eternal Blue. The first ending was super sad -- second one (after the epilogue) was a lot happier.
So...go buy like a hundred copies of Lunar Silver Star Harmony or what? This sounds like a similar issue that Sega is having --they like making original games, but the problem is no one is buying them.
The problem is that even anime games in Japan end up sucking.
