But, there's also the question of how it compares to other MMOs to take into account. I haven't played DarkFall - but I suspect not at all favorably, in terms of design, accessibility, and ease of use.

You mention all those aspects, zlatko that you claim the review doesn't detail. But, it does.

quotes from the review: "From the grubby textures and grammatically incorrect quest text to the anarchic control system, any attempt to glean joy from this torrid husk o...

But, a reviewer doesn't review for themselves. They review for their readership, to prevent them from wasting their investments of time and money, and being disappointed.

If the game was found to be frustrating, poorly put together, difficult to get going in the first place, and generally not presenting a good experience, and that would remain apparent after time taken to see if aspects of it improve (if you could grow into the gameplay and some of its faults become more tolerab...

Eurogamer responds to criticism, even as shaky evidence is presented for the publisher's opinion, that their game has been ill-served, in the review process. The site offers several reasonable remedies, which Aventurine decline all, under paper-thin reasoning.
Aventurine continues sobbing croc tears in the corner, occasionally glimpsing over their shoulder for cue to stop, because no-one's looking anymore.
They're opportunists, looking for any attention for their underwhelming pr...

What! They only released new screens last month.

Reading the comments section of the article, it's plain to see that this 'author' isn't worth anyone's time. He admits to never having played the latest game, yet still feels himself qualified to compare Motorstorm, as a whole, to a game that he's also never played. When challenged on his opinions presented, he falls onto petty games of semantics in futile defense. He won't acknowledge or answer criticisms of what he wrote, instead choosing to put down the people that took the time to read a...

Hopefully, this makes it to franchise status, and enjoys a bright future.

And, how would sir like that egg, today? Served across the face? Coming right up, lol! This guy's worse than new Gamespy, at posting rubbish.

I think the closest comparison, again, is to film/DVD. If you see a film, it can be of anything. Literally, any type from blown-out hilarity in comedies to thought-provoking social commentaries, to a biopic, a watch, rinse and forget movie, animations - or any mix of all, or none...

GAMES, though, have to sell. Is anything else acceptable? Retail (where a large, diverse number of people will naturally encounter the product) releases aren't usually budgeted for on a shoestring. Th...

I agree with Rob, in terms of a dissatisfaction when it comes to 'churnalism'. It does often lead people to be unable to clearly seperate fact from accumulated rumours. Where the facility and time exists to verify and source, properly, then I'd prefer to see that done, and provide a better 'value' article or report as a result, than have piecemeal, hearsay-driven "news" being waved around and distributed as the real thing, just because that's the quickest material that could make i...

You just reminded me I need to get a Play & Charge kit (charger, on your list), or else I'll be endlessly going through batteries! xD That's another thing they don't include, although that's stranger an omission, still, because it's arguably even more critical than the wireless adapter, for extended play.

AH, YES...This little gripe. I'm very happy to have an avenue to express opinion on this, from the perspective of a person who has, and does, own both the HD consoles.

The Xbox 360 is extensively advertised as a connected console. Currently, I've a choice of running 40M of cable through to the hub (after you have to fit all round the doors and spaces, keeping the cable away from throughfares - i have already measured the distance). Or, I can get one of these wireless adapters. If...

they're like the guys you have to keep checking your mirrors to see, lol!
In reply to 7.4, I agree that there's great potential for anything involving Jet Force Gemini, or Blast Corps. So much they could do with those great properties.

I'm also in favour of any Kameo sequel. The original, great fun, even though another victim of Microsoft's advertising apathy, when it comes to Rare releases. Could have done a better job, in, and by, sooner embracing DLC.

The ...

such a big deal? I don't remember it being so. As I recall, a sequel was pretty much inevitable, to the breakout achievement of that year. Now, if they'd said "Miyamoto onstage, outfitted as Link-sized", well then we'd have to really crank the hype meter up. :D

Tomorrow, something will happen, though. That much seems certain!

Yeah, it's a shame that The Agency won't make it to release this year, but it is good to hear some news about it, again. Same goes for DCUO, although there's been more recent talk about that.

I hope they will reveal new Rare projects, that don't involve them being submitted for further Microsoft Community Lackeying. It sucks that they got used like that.

I like Ninja Gaiden a great deal, have since the first on xbox, and on to Sigma. What I didn't like, when it came to NG2 was reading about and watching from videos, a haphazard technical performance, especially when it comes to the camera, that would work to break immersion and flow.
Even though I can now play NG2, I'll wait for Sigma2, and not have those issues impede my enjoyment of this chapter. Great timing by Team Ninja, with this announcement, and perhaps we'll get higher quality...

The developer for this one, is GRIN, the makers of Bionic Commando/Re-armed, so I am hopeful that this will turn out well.

Their best bet is to release a demo, and talk about the game on platform community blogs/media outlets. I thought the game's creator, Creative Assembly, was a big name. SEGA hardly mention them, in promotion, though.

"we KNOW it's a true-blue system seller"

To which I cautiously offer: well, it definitely proved to be, the first time round.

The only other thing I can think that people have been waiting on in large enough numbers, is Twisted Metal; but that just doesn't have the sort of pedigree of FFVII - nor, does is, specifically, shift consoles. So, a return journey to Midgar, on the PS3 would be my guess.

I think it'll have its work cut out, Vs, yes, Killzone 2, but also Operation Flashpoint 2. There may be room, in theory, to have a console coexistence for both CoD and the latter game, but, if you bought one, particularly with the competitiveness and rapid ramp up in skill between grades of online players - you might imagine it would be best to pick one, hone and stick with it?
