Did anyone else notice that nearly every NPC that you had to avoid, was made easier because they had to stop their patrol route to have a quick smoke?

Even civilian NPCs had a smoking animation, so did a few of the targets. This in my opinion made slipping by that much easier.

Moral of the story: Smoking is a big cause of death, if you catch my drift.

@Izim,

When a game or any other type of software is being loaded, it doesn't load all of data, variables and content at once as this would be wasteful to the memory resources because it is not required at the same time.

The data on a disc or HDD on any platform is continuously being stream or discarded from the RAM. An example of this would be having you media player like iTunes or Winamp store every song you have into RAM at each start-up, which you don&...

@Nate-Dog:

The term Beta is correct as they are using it to test the game, however what it should be called is an Open-Beta instead of being a Private or Closed Beta.

Copied from the Blog (I still have it tabbed).

Two PS3 games from the following list:

LittleBigPlanet
Infamous*
Wipeout HD/Fury
Ratchet and Clank: Quest for Booty
Dead Nation*

For those with PSP accounts, you will also be eligible to download two PSP games from the following list:

LittleBigPlanet PSP
ModNation PSP
Pursuit Force
Killzone Liberation*

Edit...

The list is okay, however Plus members got LittleBigPlanet and Wipeout HD when the service first started, leaving 3 games left which are InFamous; which was a highly rated game which alot of people brought, Ratchet & Clank: The Quest for Booty; this was a money filler for Insomniac and wasn't very good as we might aswell buy either Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction or a Crack in Time.

The last game is the only game worth to download considering it didn't g...

Yeah, I'm taking a guess but I reckon there was issues with the content again, the EU team have been saying all day that there is legal issues facing giving the content away in each European country.

The only game I want of that list is Dead Nation, it's the only one I haven't got too.

Someone has anger issues...

Personally, all my information which is the same as PSN can be found on my Facebook, privacy isn't really a thing no more if you are signed upto Facebook, and that credit card stuff hasn't bothered me as I have just been issued a new card from my bank.

The PS3 has no games... online.

Sorry, I had to say it lol, in a couple of months time this would be completely forgotten about same as the day the PS3 was un-usable because of the date.

Good read.

Metal Gear Online in-game XMB access has been rectified, meaning it can easily be fixed.

I'm doing a games programming course at Uni, and one of the units is to mod and re-develop the un-real engine into an engine which can run a top down RTS.

Doing mods like this gains much experience for the modder, so bubbles to Zinc.

Erm, Im sure if it limits how long you can sprint for, I think that's the same as normal sprinting? lol.

Exactly...

What Sony could do though, is fix the security leaks and to give freedom to homebrew community with Sony developing a PS3's version of XNA but give it out for free, which would allow them to make small playable games on any system.

Just my thoughts on the idea, because I would be up for developing a game through this method as I would modify my PS3 just to develop homebrew, except I don't want to break anything, be illegal in any shape or f...

It may sound wierd but they do have 1.5 to 2 years on development of the game, they can do this because as soon as IW or Treyarch have released a game the other development team is already 1 year in of development in their CoD game.

So it is technically a production line, IMO 2 years is needed with both development teams working together to get anywhere decent CoD game, so there is a 2 year gap between each CoD.

The only reasoning currently I see with this patent, is for dev kits, which need more RAM or Processing power for the debugging of a game and not for the mass market.

All I can say from playing it...
If you liked LBP, well this is 10x better. It also got many of my friends to like it more too.

You never get rid of a masterpiece.

You wouldn't get rid of a painting from Picaso, if it had a slight fault...
Same with the game, I can replay the single player multiple times and still not get bored, and the online is good (For me anyway), and you can't get chuck a game away just because the online isn't to your liking, if you like the story wll then keep it.
I still have all my old gen games, even Duck Hunt from the MegaDrive.

What was the title that was submitted then? lol

Why a teaser?
That would be worst, show us a full clip of game-play, with the theater guy voice.

The video is actually safe for work. No nude shown at all.

Back on topic, It would be weird now for them to stop using models, although they wasn't ever used much, it adds better advertising when a Tomb Raider game releases, we all love a bit of sexy cosplay.
