I thought the two best looking ones were Mass Effect and Mirror's Edge, but maybe that's because they just have really different art direction. Either way, the Unreal Engine has done a good job this gen of powering some beautiful games.
Top three favorite games of all time? Possibly the best ever? I don't care if it does turn out to be like that, he shouldn't say something that stupid. And while I'm sure the game will be great, I'm also sure that it will not be one of the top 3 games ever for the average or hardcore gamer.
It's not based solely on review scores. Was anybody expecting Mobile Suit or Bomberman to be good games? No. But people were indeed expecting DMC4 and Assassin's Creed to be great, which the were not.
Gears 2 looks better, with a little better definition and more color, except when the head is brought close. Then it looks muddy and not as good as the original.
The PlayStation was what made gaming "cool" and not just some nerdy hobby. It basically did for hardcore gamers what the Wii has done with casual gamers.

But you're forgetting that the PS3 has online play for free right out of the box. I mean, if you don't pay for LIVE, the gamerscore, and the unified friends list don't really matter.

The physics and realism in each subsequent release blow away the predecessor, making them the most realistic racing game you can play. It parallels real-world driving in a way that no other racer can achieve, whether it is on the 360 or the PS3.

The article said that GTAIV sold 1.3 Million combined copies in the month of May, but I just read an article yesterday with an estimate of 1.3 Million sales of MGS4 on the first day.
I just thought more people should have noticed something like that.
