I own both pc (upgraded after years just so I could play first Crysis), and the Xbox 360 (4th machine, hoping the Jasper will last). So, I believe I can make some objective observations.
FACTORS THAT WILL MAKE IT LIKELY THAT I GET PC VERSION of CRYSIS 2:
1. If the graphics for PC significantly better than 360, as it should be given the hardware... unless it is intentionally Gimped as some fear. Doubt it for these developers.
2. Mods, mods, mods. Still downloadi...
I liked both first FEAR and FEAR 2. Still, I can understand, and did feel disappointed that FEAR 2 did not deliver more, although did improve on several things. FEAR 3 really needs to be significantly better than all previous versions and it needs to go in a different direction.

I must aggree with parapraxis: given the extremely high failure rate of 360, add the frequency of updates and mix in human nature's tendency to assign cause and effect, it is not surprising that updates often blamed. I have done this myself.

To Darkride66, you are absolutely correct: MS concealed/lied about their product. They still won't release the real stats. Sure they extended the warranty, but that was a "patch solution" after increasing bad press.
