Gears of War was a fun game, it slightly pushed the shooter envelope with its cover system. Graphics would good but color palette not that great, mainly dark. Nevertheless an enjoyable game.

360 is perhaps the number of days you can expect to play before console dies. It was clearly rushed to market and Microsoft is paying through their shorts in repairs.
With the final achievement unlocked the console has a RROD and XBOX 360 catches fire! The XBOX 360 will smoke the PS3!

So what is worse a 5min install and enjoy playing for weeks .... or having your XBOX360 die with RROD and be out over a month awaiting a swap?

Problem with this game is there is no aiming reticule.
Majority of game is fun - your hand gets tired after a whilst. Graphics are suped up PS2 - not PS3 quality
Gun should have been made wireless and have some force feedback, rumble to be stellar along with an aiming reticule.
Sad thing is no other games out that support - can we get Sega to release House of the Dead 4 or Virtua Cop series. Perhaps a Resident Evil shooter would be good with a goo...
I have 2 DS3 - imported from Japan from Amazon.Com last year.
The much needed weight of the controller is a big plus vs. the toy like original 6-axis. It rumbles nicely with games like Resistance, Uncharted, etc
Battery also lasts a long time which is a great plus.
Worth buying is my opinion if you need the weight and missed the rumble.

Clearly the reviewer did not realize that new BD Live feature is only available with newer Bluray titles
What they should have noted is that PS3 is a firmware upgradeable player and new features have been addded. They were able to test a few features with current titles like resume play. Other new features will be tested with April 8 release of new movies.

Capcom does not seem to have the $$ and balls to create new IP. They are currently down the track of milking existing classic IP they own.
Look at DMC4, RE5, Street Fighter
Other than Lost Planet, they have not ventured very far.
