Neither reinvented anything like RE4 did the entire genre.
The other half realize how repetitive and similar it is to all other 3rd person cinematic Sony games. After you get past the polish, it’s got nothing innovative. Sales are bad in Japan because they recognize innovate games like Zelda and mediocre, all flash, no depth games like God of War and every other 3rd person game Sony has produced of late.
But have they fixed the repetitive gameplay?

I bought the X for better looking multi platform games today with its sale of 50.00 off and man I am impressed with the build on the One X. It blows the pro away in every way! That build quality is great, excellent cooling, quiet and heavy! My PS4 Pro is taking a backseat to this beast!
Here’s the deal. I own a ps4, but because I’m smarter than the average ps4 fan, I recognize when games get repetitive with a fresh coat of paint on them. The games on ps4 look and play great, which they should this far into its lifecycle, but their gameplay remains unchanged from when the ps4 was first released. When and if ps4 fans realize that all these games play the same, maybe, just maybe, Sony will invest in some originality. However, as their fans continue to rate all the same game...
