It shouldn't have even been released on PS4/Xbox One. They should have just made it a PS5/Xbox Series S/X release.
PS5 - New games getting rave reviews
Xblock - Old, BC games getting reviews that say they play the same as they did before but look nice.
I remember playing this quite a bit just to go around and see all the landmarks in the game. Back then it was basically just a WoW clone. I really wanted to go see Moria and Isengard but neither were in the game yet.
Turn on console, play game made specifically for new consoles hardware (Sorry Xbox, I was talking to PS5 there.)
It's pure genius once you unravel the workings of this wonderous game!
Now if all major retailors would enact some kind of measure to curb scalping...but they don't care as long as they make their sales.
Coming in 2021, announcing the Sega XtendoStation Series 5 DS!!! Just one console that plays EVERY game!!! No more need to cry out in angst about your own poor decision making! No more need to take responsibility for your own purchasing habits! Now you are entitled to play any game any time you want!!!
There is no money to be made with a model like GamePass. It's a lure, pure and simple. They cannot give away all their 1st party games and think they are going to profit. But then once they have gamers on GP, they have no software for that powerful new system they just released. People will want to go back to PS where AAA exclusives live.
Why such uninteresting characters?
Yes. The Penetrator armor. I don't see how a suit of armor is a big surprise.
Less redundant data due to high speed SSD.
Smart Delivery isn't a feature of the Xbox, it's just getting publishers to give away a free next-gen version of a last-gen game. Smart Delivery is just a bullcrap marketing term used on stupid end-users.
Sony: Play awesome new games as well as PS4 on your $500 console!
MS: Play games fromthe last 3 generations on your $500 console! New games that actually take advantage of the new hardware you paid for are still at least 2 years away!
So, knowing about a possible mid-gen update to hardware, why would I buy this on release day?
XBlock
I agree that it is nothing revolutionary, but that doesn't detract from the fun.
I bought the preorder on PSN about 12 hours before the game became available to play. I got the Iron Spider suit for that.
Clickbait has become one of those terms that no longer has meaning because it's used too frequently to describe things that it doesn't actually apply to. EVERY headline is supposed to grab your attention and make you click on it. That's the purpose of a headline. That's how they sold newspapers. With attention-grabbing headlines so people would want to see what was inside.
I don't spend a lot of time playing old games. There is so much NEW and awesome stuff coming out of the pipeline that it's hard to stay caught up with it. I don't have to time to retread old ground again and again.
This will set a precedent for the future as well.
