No pre MWO Mech Warrior games, no Mech Assault which was amazing, no Chromehounds, no Steel Battalion, and no Amored Core. This is just a list of mech games you'd find if you told google not to search prior to 2013.

I don't understand exactly what's supposed to fail here. I'm pretty sure ninento doesn't need amazing home console saIes to survive. They have proved that already. Not to mention I have my other consoles and a gaming PC if I want graphics and good third party support. Just like most well rounded gamers. I like how unique nintendo is and have purchased many of their systems just to play one or two exclusive games. I plan on getting the Switch as well.

I got hardline for $5. Instant regret. The servers are extremely low and everyone just snipes. I did have some good conversation about graphic cards in the in game chat though.
The absolute best way is to have other players cars as ghost. The problem with that is that instead of true racing, your competing for the best lap times. Unfortunatley, a lot of people don't care about penalites. This is why drive club's online is horrible. Its crash fest 2000. Maybe this can be good for GT:S but I think you'll mostly see private communities pop up where the memebers stress proper racing.

So you're asking if Infinity Ward should have followed fan advice and created a game that wasn't modern or futuristic? Sure. Why not? This is what happens when you don't listen to fans. Eventually we get tired. I'm proud of Battlefield. They could've released a Revolutionary War game and fans would've been happy.
