found out what it was. when the 'reflection detail' is set to high it happens
the only problem i have is every time i want to do a quick 180 the game freezes for a slight second. it only happens when i set the graphics to ultra but i still get like 40-50 fps in ultra, i dont get it.

i share the same concern. plus if they put an analogue stick on the move it would make so much better.
The FPS games like MAG and killzone have a horrible "deadzone box". if they put an analogue stick on the move you could have conventional right stick aiming but with a moveable cursor on-screen. it would be awesome.
it needs a smaller deadzone. as in the "box" the cursor moves in before the character turns needs to be smaller.

the picture is old but its also has "create account" in the top left. basically someone tried making a PSN ID called "consolesuspended" hence the reason it has no spaces.
The "sorry an error occured whilst creating your account" also gives it away ;p

Couldnt sony just implement a system like Microsoft where any USB thumbdrive has to be formatted before you can use it with the PS3?
They would also probably let you use all of the memory instead of capping it at 16GB.
Also if this is real and cant be fixed by sony theres gonna be a lot of people in places like Brasil that are just waiting for this and would probably put the Xbox in last. Imagine the faces of the Xbox fanboys who are, for some reason, rubbing this in the face...

i know details are pretty slim on this but does anyone know if the backups could be played region free? ive got a japanese PS3 and i can only play japanese PS2 games and id love it. id imagine sony would probably crack down on this with bans and whatnot for multiplayer titles but id love it if i could play some old SP PS2 titles
I read somewhere that the bullet damage depends on the round, so all 5.56 bullets do the same damage its only the rate of fire and recoil that make a difference. It would be interesting to see how they get around that if its true.
