That's one less thing consumers have to worry about breaking down on them. I mean, to enjoy quality gaming entertainment, a gamer needs a set up similar to this: high speed internet, HDTV, console, hd a/v receiver, speakers, and various cables, connectors, blah blah blah.
That means we have to rely on all of these electronic components working. If one breaks down, we have to replace it. Obviously, the RROD is a real concern, for example. OnLive removes that console reliability ...
Gamersdigest.com.... no link to Valve's website. This isn't even remotely official.
I'm not saying it's not true, but I'll need to see it on the official boards before I buy it.
I imagine you're the author of this article? What's this "I reckon" talk. It's a difficult game. It doesn't hold your hand. But it's more rewarding than most any other retail release I can remember playing.
The difficulty makes it rewarding. I didn't use a walkthrough. If you get stuck, get a buddy to help. Once you figure out the solution, though it may take more than the five or ten minutes you seem to prefer, you realize that it all works relatively simply, always ...
I am really interested to see how the stopping and popping works in a competitive MP environment. Maybe for this mode they've allowed you to move and shoot, since the tension the devs want you to experience in the campaign against hordes of zombies isn't nearly as much of an issue when trying to shoot another player.
I've been as ardent a supporter of the controls as anyone, but smooth controls is essential to a good MP experience, and should trump any reason for not allowing m...
And I almost got through an entire page of comments with nary a hint of fanboyism.
I would be surprised if a PSP-dedicated site raved about a rival platform's games, you know? It's almost like a light-gun game, and many of those are pretty fun.
These exploits (blocking, skipping horde events, etc.) were actively ruining the VS mode experience for many players. It got to the point where 9 out of 10 games I played ended with my friends and I either quitting out, or forcing a vote to return to the lobby (dumpster at the top of the ladder in NM3 anyone?!).
The fact that so many are complaining about a brilliant patch that fixed all of these exploits means that the terrible players who did their best to make L4D as frustra...
And we all know how that one turned out...
Anyway, as an RE4 fan, I got what I expected from the controls. And I actually loved the demo. I still don't understand why most people have such big issues with it. Eh, I'm not going to worry about it anymore. I'll play it with a friend and enjoy it thoroughly. Everyone else can... I don't know, play something else?
N4G has somehow managed to contract every Sony extremist fanboy to post en masse on every remotely anti-PS3 article. It's getting to the point where I can hardly stand reading comments anymore.
Listen, L4D isn't about length in the usual sense of the word. Just as many COD4 was not judged on the length of its SP but mostly on the strength and replayability of it's MP, so goes L4D. It's a brilliant game.
However, it bothers me that Valve has enought time to "...
You know,OFFICIAL PLAYSTATION MAGAZINE (Australia)? Don't you think it is in their best interest to give the most hyped PS3 exclusive game ever a perfect score?? Geezus.
But I think it's lame that this guy is trashing a series that many consider the best of the genre. Sure, it has its quirks, but no other game comes close to MS's near flawless combination of technical driving, arcade driving, physics, track design, graphics, vehicle variety, etc.
If FUEL is as good as this guy says it is, hell, I'm in. Until then, there's not much of a difference in Evo creating hype through CGI trailers and this d-bag doing so with his big mouth.
I don't think I'd get through a single chapter at my present skill level.
I think someone missed a decimal spot.
I would not be surprised if EA ported L4D, just as they did with HL2: OB. As everyone here knows, that was somewhat of a failure, so PS3 owners don't have a whole lot to look forward to at this point, assuming the rumors turn out to be true.
But, I definitely don't think support through Home would change anything. Does anyone actually use Home now? I mean, I played around with it for a day or two, and have only been back every couple of weeks to see if things have changed... an...
Killzone has not built that type of "Snake v. The World" epic tragedy. Not to mention that in the first KZ, we got to switch between four different soldiers throughout the SP campaign. Throwing in a co-op campaign should not be that difficult from a story perspective, especially accounting for the short history of the series.
Also, people love co-op. I love co-op. I will buy less than stellar titles if they have interesting co-op gameplay. Also, the announcement of co...
A couple of things: first, you don't pay for avatars on the 360. And, second, let's try not to mention Home and Second Life in the same breath. Home is trash. The NXE avatars are trash. Neither serve any real, funtional upgrade to the systems in place before.
And by "the x button," I know you mean the guide button. Not to be confused with, you know, the actual "x" button on the controller. Just to avoid confusion for 3.1. No flaming here.
...they barely need to exist. It was just as easy to see what friends were on before the update by simply looking at your *gasp* friends list.
However, for those obsessed with personalizing their 3D, online personas, yes, more variety would be welcome so as to more easily tell your friends apart at a glance... I guess...
Since when have you seen in-game God of War III footage? Looks like someone pre-ordered tickets for the hype train.
I'm as big a GOW fan as anyone, but these comments have no basis. These Uncharted 2 shots are supposedly in-game, we've seen lots of KZ2 and White Knight Chronicles in-game footage, so let's try to stick to what we know, eh?
I don't know who gave you a disagree, buddy, but you've stated the truth. Everyone here who is gushing over cross game text chat rooms has probably not used the party voice chat on the 360. I think the only possible inferiority of XBL's party chat to PSN's text chat is if you don't want someone talking over all the important dialogue in your game or something.
