While performance gets better, there were fun games at the beginning of both previous generations. PS4 had Infamous, Killzone, Flower, Battlefield 4. PS3 had Blast Factor, Ultimate Alliance, Resistance, and once the dry spell ended it was hit after hit.
PS5 has basically Returnal, FF16, and Ratchet and Clank. Everything else basically has been a cross gen title.
I don't know why this statement is so hated. Have PS5 games been good? Yes. Have they had more than Xbox? Yes, but how is that an achievement when Xbox has close to no notable games.....
The bigger issue imo is the storage. Even if it's locked, Android can be broken to be unlocked rather easily. The problem is it's a "streaming device" so if it has little to no internal storage and no way to expand that storage, it's basically useless.
They ruined Overwatch, which was the only thing propping up their esports, so of course it's dead too.
Xbox lack of competition hurts everybody. Once xbox starts pumping out anything, PlayStation might kick it back into high gear. Till then "2" exclusives a year is all they need, because thats 2 more than the competition.

You act like Sony is some little company that's just barely making it by. They are worth119 billion dollars. They recently made 21 billion available to spend buying up assets. Square, Capcom, and Konami are worth around 5 billion each, they could buy all 3 of them with that budget. Ubisoft and Embracer are only 3 Billion. Take Two is worth 25 billion, so if they wanted PlayStation to flex a tiny bit on the budget thats reachable too.
Forbes was calling it dead before Sony even released it. They've been trashing every game it has, and despise it for some reason. They were also making up random "issues" it has with no validity to their claims. Not sure if Forbes is a partner of Meta or what, but it's annoying.
I wouldn't say flop since it hasn't even fully "launched" just yet. It's exclusive to the Sony website in key territories, no retailers pushing it, no advertising from the stores, no holiday push, no major games announced, and hardly been pushed by Sony at this point. And yet it's still outselling the Xbox 2 to 1 according to the rumored leaked numbers.
Totally disagree, the haptics enhance the experience a ton. Being hit in football and you actually feel the hit, vs just a loud noise. And the headset is comfortable, you just need to adjust it properly.
I love the PSVR2, it's awesome. I expect itll get more games, and hopefully backwards compatibility will make PSVR1 games more enjoyable so we could go revisit some titles without the clunky controls. Forbes for some reason has a huge hard on for PSVR2 failing and won't let it go.
That being said if PSP2/Vita 2 isn't basically a PS5 with turned down settings (like Steamdeck), I won't buy it. It could have exclusive games, but without the library of PS4/PS5 ...

Even if it was legit Kojima, I'd cut ties with that all together. It became a huge mess and so people were mad. It was way too sloppy to be Kojima too.

Microsoft has deals too, and that being said FF's deal expired last year so it's literally just Square not porting it at this point. If Xbox sold more units they'd probably have more leverage.
MS would probably be more interested in PS exclusives going to PC Gamepass.
There's hardly any value in it to begin with. They had to restrict basic features like transferring saves between PS5's just to force "value" into it..... Going to jack up prices and offer anything extra? Jim Ryan crashing PlayStation harder than Mattrick at Xbox.....
