I'm sorry RLBaker, that is simply not true. I try to stay neutral and as such I've found myself defending the 360 more than the ps3 (because there are more sony fanboys here than "xbots", not because its better), but this is one thing that is not defendable. The 360 is very loud, muuuch more so than the ps3, and despite having a surround sound system a movie does have its seconds of silence, during which you WILL hear the dvddrive spinning.

Clumsy gameplay? No, not really, I like the MGS gameplay, its great. Garbage stories? Yes absolutely, about as predictable and boring as they come (so far!! MGS4 looks to have a more interesting story with the mercenaries stuff). I guess those who appreciate Days of our lifes-type stories (Ohhh, He's your evil twin out to destroy you. No Wait! Clone! ) might find it interesting, but for the rest its just annoying melodramatic stuff that keeps you from murdering dudes snake-style.
Get custom firmware, not only will you have all these excellent games to play, but you will also be able to all kinds of cool stuff with homebrew.
Its a great system, much better than I orignally thought, bought it to my girlfriend so she wouldn't bother me while I spend a precious few moments with the 360 and have found that its turned out the other way around.
Here's all the convincing I would need: it beats ANYTHING you might have to read while you take a dump...

I dont know if its because of the hurry. I think the main reason is because the artists are asked to create something that appeals to gamers, a group of people that (face it) generally doesn't care about sublime artistic design. Or worse, the target is parents, then the box arts are all cute and sweet or generally toned down considering there are few parents who would buy a game which has Kratos stomping on Ares head or so. The artists play it safe by simply identifying what the game is about...
I say this as a huge Halo fan as well. The HS box art is different, look at the pose, the hair, the slightly battered blades, her look etc. Its like someone took a good real-life photo of a professional model and traduced to the relevant medium.
Personally I like RE4, and I disagree with their opinion regardin Metroid Prime 3, its actually quite good. COD4 is horrible, great game, but U G L Y generic box art, should not have been amongst the good ones.

Bravia is not #1, not even close actually, realize. OLEDs wont make it big in 08, its not a posibility considering they are still incredibly expensive (hence reserved for a small portion consumers), don't last long and don't exist in mainstream sizes like 32 inch.
