The PS3 was advertised as a gaming machine that played next generation HD games, blu-rays and allowed you to surf the web, along with store photos, music, and other media. None of it's functionality has been taken away by using the PS3 OS - the one that was designed for the system. But you can try and start a lawsuit, other than unemployed ambulance chasing bonehead lawyers, I doubt you'll get anyone to represent you. Or maybe you're one of the hackers that are getting screwed by this.

If we need to blame someone for removing the 3rd party OS feature, we need to blame the pirates, not Sony. Guys, this is the reality, these consoles cost a LOT of money and resources to design and implement. Sony has every right to protect it's very large investment from piracy - last that I read, they are still millions in the hole on the PS3. It's unfortunate if you were using a different OS for legitimate purposes, but it's the pirates that ruined it for you, not Sony. And for most of ...

Microsoft is simply engaging high paid PR firms and publicists who write or post negative articles about their competition to sway opinion. It happens in all industries, just take it with a big grain of salt.

Microsoft licensing from Sony... then again just about every company uses Windows in one way or another.

At the end of the day, only the finished game will determine how good it is. Until then, nobody knows anything, it's all speculation and BS.

What about the 200K people that bought the XBox HD-DVD add-on. Another brick in the wall? Glad to see Microsoft cares about it's customers.

So why would Sony regret winning the format war? This title is misleading. I do think all the people who bought the x-box HD-DVD add-on are regretting it. Now they have another soon to be brick cluttering their A/V shelf.

Are they really still going to have a built in HD-DVD player, heheh.

Jamming HD-DVD into a 360 just to spite Sony is ridiculous. There won't be any games in HD-DVD since it would alienate all the existing 360 owners that only have a DVD drive. The Ultimate Super Deluxe 360 is shamefully trying to spec up to a PS3.

Mad Max's Interceptor... I don't know how it drives, but looks wise, it's no 911.

time to dump out the garbage.

The 360 has no chance now in Japan, so Moore is badmouthing the PS3. What an ugly american.

first you complain endlessly because you say the ps3 is too expensive, so... sony drops the price.. now you complain because you say Sony is betraying the people who paid $600. Make up your minds man, a price drop is good for everyone. Stop being such a stupid fanboy..

so you're spending $600 on a phone that is meant to be disposable? 300 charges and you have to get a new phone or mail it in? That sounds absurd.

You'd believe anything posted in the press. Get a clue. I work in PR and know exactly how these articles get posted.

ok so a retailer writes a sign stating no price drop so don't hold off on buying a PS3.... and that equates to 'Retailers Desperate to sell PS3s..'. Come on, this is negative PR spin at it's worse.

MS is paying countless goonies to post this stuff and people need to be smart enough to recognize paid PR spin when they read it. Who's really the desperate company?

well there are plenty of 360's around for sure.

it's over HD-DVD, and sorry for the Xbox owners that bought the soon to be brick add-on.

IPODS are $350, the iphone will be $600. Heck, I paid $2500 for my TV when 8 years ago I paid $700.
