If we need to blame someone for removing the 3rd party OS feature, we need to blame the pirates, not Sony. Microsoft is simply engaging high paid PR firms and publicists who write or post negative articles about their competition to sway opinion. It happens in all industries, just take it with a big grain of salt.
Microsoft licensing from Sony... then again just about every company uses Windows in one way or another.
At the end of the day, only the finished game will determine how good it is. Until then, nobody knows anything, it's all speculation and BS.

So why would Sony regret winning the format war? This title is misleading. I do think all the people who bought the x-box HD-DVD add-on are regretting it. Now they have another soon to be brick cluttering their A/V shelf.

Jamming HD-DVD into a 360 just to spite Sony is ridiculous. There won't be any games in HD-DVD since it would alienate all the existing 360 owners that only have a DVD drive. The Ultimate Super Deluxe 360 is shamefully trying to spec up to a PS3.

ok so a retailer writes a sign stating no price drop so don't hold off on buying a PS3.... and that equates to 'Retailers Desperate to sell PS3s..'. Come on, this is negative PR spin at it's worse.

IPODS are $350, the iphone will be $600. Heck, I paid $2500 for my TV when 8 years ago I paid $700.
The PS3 was advertised as a gaming machine that played next generation HD games, blu-rays and allowed you to surf the web, along with store photos, music, and other media. None of it's functionality has been taken away by using the PS3 OS - the one that was designed for the system. But you can try and start a lawsuit, other than unemployed ambulance chasing bonehead lawyers, I doubt you'll get anyone to represent you. Or maybe you're one of the hackers that are getting screwed by this.
