Why are you guys excited? I thought everybody already played this on the PC like any other Xbox360 console exclusive?
I realy don't know why these people say there isn't any improvement. And they draw conclusions from a one minute video.
- better graphics
- more enemies
- more weapons
- more features like meat shield
- more going on on-screen in general
- better frame rate (and that is after the above improvements)
I think its more like people want the game to look bad because of their own hidden (or not so hidden) agendas. If this was multi pl...
Did anybody notice that on the Gears footage, you can't even make out the ammo counter at the top right? It's no way that footage is 720p.
When he looks down at the ground, there are about 20 to 30 locust soldiers running.
I think it's funny how people are trying to play Gears 2 down. The graphics and the action was amazing in the trailer. Hordes of locust on screen and it looks like the frame rate is even faster than the first one, how is that not an improvement? Gears 1 don't even come close to what I have seen in that trailer.
Please people, why are you worrying? You can play it on PC if you don't have an xbox360, remember ;)
Its people like you that's hurting the industry. Stop being a criminal.

@JokesOnYou
I'm sure that half these people that claim they are going to play it on PC never have
I'm not saying you are lying but you sure have played a lot for someone who doesn't perfer the Xbox360. Or you only played gamer score whore games like Cars or King Kong (which explains why you don't perfer the xbox360 :) )
I think as time goes by, the developers find ways of making better looking graphics without using much more power of the system. Development technologies progress all the time. So I'd expect better graphics from all the systems towards the end of their cycle.
This argument that the PS3 isn't even close to its limits is starting to wear thin. I think the time is right for some results.
If they bring out another Xbox iteration too soon I'm going to be pissed. I doubt it will happen again though since Microsoft had to drop the original xbox due to a lawsuit between them and the graphics card manufacturer on the original xbox. I think it was ATI, I could be wrong. They are also finaly making money out of the Xbox360 so I think thats another reason they wont can this one yet.
Also, Blu-Ray is owned by a whole consortium of companies, not just Sony. So they won't ...
I personaly believe that nor the PS3 of Xbox360 have reached their limits. I was just showing jcfilth that I too can come up with reasons why the PS3 is at its limits.
Kojima said they pushed the cell to the maximum with MGS4. So I guess the PS3 is at it's maximum as well.
Halo 3 had crazy hype which it didn't live up to, that doesn't mean it was a bad game.
Half-Life has an EXCELLENT story.
Look, I'm not going to argue with you, YOU may not like the HL series (which I find rather suspect considering the article) but the MAJORITY do. Saying it isn't good doesn't hold any water.
The Xbox360 has 3 parallel cores, just letting you know
I don't think a software company that is focusing on PC + Xbox360 is going to go bankrupt any time soon, especially a company that makes the Half-Life series.
Actualy, EA only handled the PS3 port, Valve did xbox360 (I think)
Orange Box -> 96.3% average over 55 reviews (via gamerankings)
Half-Life 2 -> 95.5%
Half-Life: Counter-Strike -> 89.2%
If you like good games then you'd better hope that Valve change their minds and get to work on good PS3 ports
Half-Life was ground breaking and definitely not run of the mill. When HL2 came out, it broke new grounds all over again. Portal is a totally unique piece of brilliance. In my eyes, valve is one of the greats. The only reason they are getting stick from you guys is because they don't prefer the PS3. I don't understand why you guys are worried since the PS3 have plenty of good developers already.
and none of them got a RROD yet. One of them started crashing and he took it in and got it replaced free of charge, even before the RROD hit.
You PS3 fans can bash the Xbox360 for RROD all you want, the fact of the matter is that it is happening more infrequent as time goes by. And you get a free Xbox360 IF you get a RROD. And since when does a 16% failure rate mean you WILL get a RROD?
Why can't someone disagree with your oppinion? (wasn't me though)

"it typically is with comments that support the more reliable consoles and have in some cases, negativity towards the 360... lol"
I just clicked disagree for that ;)
I don't know man, the rest of the year is a pretty long time to be playing a hand full of games.
