Their logic makes no sense to me. They are willing to block MS's merger of activision simply on the premise of "potential" dominance in future with more exclusives. But Sony as the current market leaders are free to continue to purchase studios and have them make exclusives.
Great. Now they have the opportunity to reinvest the $150 million they paid FIFA annually into making the game better, should they chose too.

If the FTP multiplayer idea is hampering content development this should definitely be scrapped for the next instalment. It is good but updates have been sluggish. Also the events prior to halo infinite IMO should of been what the game focused on i.e. losing the war against the Banished. Someone dropped the ball, a new SW with a compelling new vision going forward on where the story goes from here is ...

I can also see this effecting Activision negatively too as they will be cutting of a huge customer base of over 100million PlayStation owners who have contributed majorly to the sales revenue of many of Activision IP's and in particular COD. Yes, this will cause many to switch brands but I'm sure there will still be many gamers who will have no intention of changing their console of choice.
