I really don't get the significance of Metacritic anyway. I've looked from time to time at the media reviews but wouldn't use it as a "will or won't" for purchasing a game.
I'd rather read a considered view of someone who's played and in most cases, completed a game and offered up pros and cons - than take a rambling from someone who's obviously basing it on pre-concieved bias or perception; and in this case given the release date, obviously hasn...
As above two comments (AK91 and MWH)...this team seem to know what to change, what to leave and what to provide options to switch between. Completely dependable to date and no concerns... 🙃
It really doesn't. It needs to be a stunning sequel to an outstanding game in its own right on the PS4. Fairly sure it will be under Guerilla production...
Taking into consideration that in all likelyhood all the usual 3rd parties will be there at launch too with patched PS4/Pro games like COD, FIFA 21, Assassins Creed, Cyberpunk (assuming its not XBSX upgrade only), along with patched TLOU2 and GoT. Probably also GTS, as I fear we may not see GT7 in the first year as no date was given.
But I think they'll be more than enough at launch...
Yep...cos frame rate dictates whether something is a masterpiece. Redraw a black screen at 1200fps on a $2000 graphics card and it's beyond a masterpiece... 🙄

Can't recall a AAA not having a day one patch on either the Pro or the XBX. I know people moaned about FH4 getting one. Personally...unless its an entire installation again (CODesque), I couldn't care less...

IMO : FM7 is a massive disappointment, despite its content - and the track experience for racing is far better in GTS (even if 274 cars isn't enough for some people). FH4 is a brilliant game, but not a sim and a completely different experience. IMO, Horizon is far more relevant for XB than FM now and GTS is the sim champion this generation.

Still looking forward to TLOU more. I'm not so angst about the storyline and decisions ND have taken. But happy to be proven wrong in my judgement. May yet agree that GOT is the better game after playing both.

There are still. At the moment.
But I fear for the future. Particularly as I enjoy single player experience over online (generally - not always).
Kinda think that the Warzone model will be adopted, where a minimalist online experience is released, test the water for income and adoption numbers - and then invest accordingly if those numbers are high enough with some MT based updates. And I think it will impact the single player games too - as the upfront investment ...
Still got my original 60Gb. Sits on a laptop cooling tray. Hope it keeps going...fond memories...
