The reason why they didn't give Microsoft a direct answer is because they are scared they might like the secret sauce. I personally think Xbone and Phony Sony can make great music together.
A real answer would be like this.

I saw the price for the PSVR. I was wondering if this includes everything needed. I heard you need the Playstation camera for the PSVR. Why do you need the camera if other VR don't require a camera. Can someone please answer this for me?

Depends on what console you have for next gen.
So Sony's projector is a counter to Microsoft's Windows 10 and Xbox streaming capabilities. Yet, Microsoft is giving away Windows 10 for free and Sony is charging $350 for this. Plus, you don't need an extension with Windows 10.
And to all those people who say "It's not being marketing as a PlayStation device" If Sony is showing it at Gamescom at the PlayStation booth, it is being marketed as a PlayStation device.
