If his review puts people off from buying the game, he will no doubt feel a great sense of satisfaction.

Bethesda has been very clever with their naming of the title. Calling it Fallout Online would have made it obvious it was an MMO set in the Fallout world. Fallout 76 however, gives it much more ambiguity. The acid test I guess will be when the time comes to order the game and it turns out to be subscription based or free to play with DLC. Then we will all know for sure what it really is. I hope they don’t think the fan base are that foolish and that they are attempting to try something genuin...

....if the Vita was that big of a disaster why are developers still releasing games for it? (I know they aren't triple A titles) Yes, it didn't sell in DS / 3DS size numbers we all know that. But the year in and year out negative articles from the media (aren't they supposed to support the game industry?) announcing the death nell of the Vita have missed the mark big time. Despite their best efforts - they haven't killed the thing off yet - 5 years after it was released. The m...

The Switch does not have a 3D display, which was the unique selling point of the 3DS. The New 3DS XL worked far better than the original and you get an experience you can't get anywhere else.

At the time of writing, the number of 3DS units sold is 65 million. Not bad considering the number of negative articles that have been written about it over the years. Thankfully Nintendo are prepared to take risks just like they are doing with the Switch. If a high res version of the 3DS ever came out - I'd buy it in a heartbeat.

This situation could benefit Nintendo's next console i.e. attract more developers to create games for it. Online video content producers have complained bitterly about their inability to stream or produce lets play videos for Nintendo games thinking that it cuts off a particular market for them and all the potential new subscribers they are losing out on. After reading this article, it has made me realise that Nintendos decision not only protected their audience from spoilers and Nintendo...

It was an ugly and weird design. It won't be difficult for Nintendo to improve on that!

Not sure fun came into it. He had read an interview with the developer stating it was next to impossible to complete the game with no kills recorded. He set out to try and prove them wrong. Reading the article you get the impression he is someone who likes a challenge - quite possibly an old school gamer or the son of one!

Yes, you are right in that his character is responsible for the death of Kellog - but the player's objective was to not log any kills for any person, animal, creature, robot (including turrets!) on his data stats. check out this screenshot....

He even did it on the hardest setting. Impressive.

@Elwenil "so how did he get past Kellog?" The answer is in the kotaku article.
The biggest hurdle of all, however, has to be the part of Fallout 4 where the player has to kill a character known as Kellogg, the player’s arch-nemesis. Hinckley has to come up with a way to finish the game without personally killing the game’s main villain, absurdly enough.

Hinckley, miraculously, still works through it. He does so by luring Kellogg into a series of mines—not to...

I was an early adopter on the vita and still use the device a lot to this day. Currently playing the Suikoden series on it and have found the vita brilliant for playing the early catalogue of PS1 games. That OLED screen really brings those old games to life. I don't have a large catalogue of vita games but choose titles that take a long time to complete - Persona titles are a good example. Also enjoyed the Danganronpa series too. Very quirky and different but in a good way.

I bought both and I'd like to think many other people out there might have done the same. The two portable consoles are sufficiently different enough to warrant it (unlike the 360 and PS3 where many of the same titles are available on both systems).

We know the 3DS is safe in terms of units sold so far and the media coverage it is receiving. Sadly, the press seem to have earmarked Sony and the Vita as a 'whipping boy' to shower with negative stories.

Showing it in slow-mo wasn't the best idea. However, when you read some of the feedback from the gamers involved in the Beta testing, they are giving the game a lot of love. If you are on the fence as to whether to choose War of the roses or Chivalry, the view is all but unanimous (at the moment as they are both in development) that Chivalry is more fun to play and feels better in combat. WoTR plays similar to Mount and blade without the combat subtleties of M&B but is better in the g...

I'm sure 'Kingpin' a crime FPS on the PC had a lot more f-bombs in it than Mafia II did. Like many who have commented, I'm really enjoying Mafia II at the moment. The swearing has not been overdone for me.....

It is a shame that the pc version of GTAIV has received a lot of negative press. The last thing we want is for Rockstar to walk away from PC games completely due to poor sales and poor reviews. On a highish end PC, it delivers an awsome experience. My own pc is nearly 12 months old now (an I7 920, Nvidea GTX295 and 6gb of RAM) and it runs like a dream on it. The level of detail in 1920x1200 resolution still blows me away every time I play it. I'm now enjoying revisiting Liberty city throu...

If Killzone 2 was an Xbox 360 exclusive, it would be hyped to death, receive 10/10 perfect scores and more favorable reviews than it will on the PS3. A sad but true fact.

I really dislike the way the PS3 is being treated by the Gaming Media in general. It does not deserve the volume of negative press it gets, particularly in the blu-ray area.

That's why, like may people on this forum I tend to prefer to read customer reviews, watch game footage on Youtube etc a...

Well done on the review. I feel exactly the same how lower budget games sometimes get trashed. Personally, I tend to trust user reviews more to get a realistic view of a game (there are some excellent amateur reviewers out there)

I have often felt puzzled at why the gaming press has become so nasty or 'hard to please' and maybe part of it is because

a) A website wants to attract attention to itself by deliberately giving a poor (often unfair) score and then sit b...

I had the same problem. I agree it is a pain to browse a large music collection on the PS3s internal drive. This can be solved by using an external hard drive. I bought one and put all of my music on that. However, you need a PC to set up the folder structure first. You can use Itunes to automatically arrange your music for you into folders by genre, artist and album (produced by selecting 'Keep Itunes folder organised' in the advanced tab area of the Preferences section of the Itunes softwar...
