Well frankly, he's right. Though it's not necessarily the right thread to say it, the red ring of death problem should be more openly warned about. Seeing as a product with such a high failure rate shouldn't even be on the market, the least that should be done is to ensure that everybody who buys one knows about the issue beforehand. It's currently causing a massive violation of company-consumer trust.

Indeed, it takes a lot of skill to make a game that looks great without using bright colours, and this is one of the few games that really make it happen.

Indeed, instead of saying that the pc version had more maps, they decided to claim that the ps3 had less. Very glass half empty, and quite shameful.
IT is in EVERYBODY'S interest for the PS3 to sell well and meet this target. All it needs to do is maintain a significant presence in order to put pressure on microsoft and nintendo to push for top class games. It's perfectly possible for it to overtake the 360 over time, and, depending on whether or not wii owners actually buy any games, the Wii. However, all it needs to do in order for us to all be happy is maintain a significant presence.

No one said anything about overtaking the xbox in sales. They are merely stating that they are planning to sell a certain number of consoles in a certain amount of time.

Aaaah, you know what they say, every cloud has a silver lining. There's finally a great reason to get a 360. If you like it, you can keep it, if you don't, you can switch once it breaks! You don't get choice like that from sony or nintendo.

You've completely missed the point here. The companies (esp. Sony and Microsoft) are gonna make by far the majority of their money from software sales. Seeing as Nintendo are barely selling any games at all at the moment, it looks like their being carried by their overpriced console.
