arguably the most basic method ms could use to penetrate the japanese market would be through an introduction of a more reliable console... in the long term of things a redesign would help them quite a bit

yeah if anything positive to take from this year it should have taught ms the importance of first party studios... coz when third part studios fail to make their dates (ubi with sc) you need first party studios to pick up the share... turn 10 is stepping up and (formerly) ensamble helped early on... but where the hell is rare and lionhead this year (obviosuly they are making their own games)... so clearly they need more studios to help pick up the slack... i get the feeling ms just isnt patie...

realistically speaking forbes currently lists EA's market value as 6.5 billion dollars and MS as 232 billion dollars ...

so if bill gates really wanted EA he could probably find 6.5 billion in his couch cushions.. but this is likely not going to happen coz ea's too big and its revenue comes from yearly "multi gen" games its really not worth it...
yeah really glad turn 10 fixed the frame rate issues ... their e3 build's c0ckpit view was running on 30 fps
but the latest one is running at a stable 60... and looks better than ever
personally i just want them to stop focusing on japan/ america as a strategy or as a market share and just want them to make some killer exclusive games... first party studios are very important ... i mean where the hell was rare this year... if anything this year should have taught ms that third party exclusives meeting their dates are unreliable (splinter cell) they need to have their own first party games to fill in the space... can u imagine if there was no forza 3 this year.. damn.. but ...
yeah this game will be awesome ... dr 1 is definitely one of the best games on the 360 ... and one of the best games i've played - period ...
these screens are not new as they are straight from the trailer .... looking forward to the new gameplay vid that is supposed to come out soon
hopefully they use most of that money for development of reach and not on booze and parties ... but really odst's release was very silent this time around ...

no sadly i havent played killzone 2 or resisntance yet... so i cant comment or base any opinions on those games...
but i have played all the 3 halos and i can say that i have genuinely enjoyed the games and like the author i have my own reasons for loving it as well
for me its definitely the fun factor in the game... the set piece battles get crazy at times and the brilliant score from martin odonnell keeps the action pumping... i never really got into the multiplayer in halo 3 but halo ce's sniper only ctf's still take up a lot of my time on pc... its definitely on my list of top 5 games

for a list with game music it needs to have max payne 2 and halo 3...
and damn yes red alert 2 was awesome as well ... i still remember that opening invasion of new york ... good times

yeah gs is very stingy when it comes to anything 9.2 above...
only 2 games have score 10 on gs... mgs 4 like you pointed out and gta 4...
for uc i'm expecting a 9.6 (with the ranks of gta sa) or a full 10..

its new for the 360 and good for 360 owners ... no need to bring in the ps3's browser here .. and before you even say its free on the ps3 and not on the 360.. maybe you should probably cosider the thought that maybe some people prefer the 360's gaming library and services over the ps 3...
