I grabbed 7 because I skipped vista and because XP is 8 years old.
7 beta had loads of testers and turned out to be pretty solid so I'm looking forward to 8's retail release in a few years.

I worked in the modding community for Battlefield 2 and we constantly saw our material being included in other modifications without our consent, each and every one lead us back to a Chinese development team. None of their mod content was self made, all they did was steal and rip a bunch of content from other mods and throw it into a single package and distribute it.

heh, I used to love noob-tubing in Battlefield 2 when it was new. Then 6 billion other idiots in the game realised that it was the only way they could actually score kills so EA went and nerfed the damn thing until it had the effectiveness of a rolled up sock.
I don't mind product placement in games as long as it isn't overdone.
Some games it works well in, Take 'Crazy Taxi' for example.

I'll play pretty much any RTS game but I also like FPS games. Been playing Battlefield 2 for 4 and a half years and I'm still not bored of it yet.
