Is Sony really this desperate? I know their library is pretty shallow, but they should be able to sell it as just a $400 internet browser and media player.
IGN is hardly an objective source, they aren't huge fans of SEGA. They gave Sonic Adventure a 5/10! Take this with a huge grain of salt and actually try the game first. Don't ever trust proffesional game reviewers.
There is no comparing the amnufacturing of the Wii the the manufacturing of the Xbox or Playstation. Both of those console use the same technology that has been used for years (faster GPU, faster CPU, MoBo, Disk Drive, Ethernet Modem,) the facilities are already in place to mass produce them in insane quantities. Thw Wii, however, uses new technology that is found exclusively in the factories of a single manufacturer that decided to make the parts for the Wii. The factories have to be fitted ...
I've seen a lot of fanboyism but this is just too much. No, the Wii is not a Gamecube. No, making 60 Million consoles in 5-7 yearsis not the same as making 20 million in one. No Nintendo isn't purposely trying to make sure their costumers don't buy a Wii (a system that they MAKE MONEY on for every hardware purchase, unlike the others.) Please do more thinking bfore posting in the future.
But Final Fantasy is still a crappy series, has bee since 7. Their stories are incohesive and they've basically been using the same battle system since 5 (excluding the "play the game for me" system in the more recent title.) Series like Grandia maybe NeverWinter are much better in comparison when you put aside fanboyisms.
Why do you care about sales? You aleady have the console, so how many others are being sold doesn't really concern you. As a gamer, the only thing that you really should concern yourself about is the library.

If you don't like the Wii, why are you trolling the Wii boards about it being so popular that you can't find it. It kind of makes you look immature.
NiGHTs isn't a Nintendo game. They don't need to sell third party software, they'd make more money selling "higher rated" first party games. NEVER TRUST GAME REVIEWERS.
