@Flex...I think you give too much credit to the lineup, and the lack of importance Tomb Raider is to the platform. I own an Xbox One, and I own a PS4...I'll be waiting until the PS4 ver hits. IF I find myself feeling like I have a lack to play in the coming year, I may be compelled to pick it up on PC, but the limited exclusivity is doing nothing for one whom owns the platform, and it certainly isn't a title I'd buy a system for had I not owned one already.
I look...
Physical collection with cool commercials, a gallery archive, etc, soundtracks...missed opportunity if you ask me.
If Ubi doesn't include second-screen tech via the PSVita, even optionally, that's a major oversight.
All I see is a potentially good game that, when put against the weight of investors and ROI, wasn't going to perform...so it was slapped with the Metroid label.
What disappoints me most is that it seems Nintendo isn't confident in new IPs or original titles. Nearly everything must be franchised to sell, and that's exactly what's pushing me away from the brand.
...meanwhile, I'm of the complete opposite mindset. I've loved everything about the game. Certainly the Batmobile takes some time to master, but the game is so incredibly polished in every respect. This is Rocksteady's Swan Song to the titular Arkham lineage. Scarecrow is incredible! The writing is phenomenal...it's about as perfect as I'd hoped.
So the Microstransactions have caused a stir...but the fact that the $250 Collector's Edition containing a digital download voucher for the game doesn't?
We're at least...what...three years out? How the hell can we even be concerned with the longevity of the exclusivity window?
Mystery pass? You haven't been following it much have you?
I don't know. I suppose Igarashi's Bloodstained has spoiled me.
If it's pre-rendered, or recorded, we bitch about it!
If it's live and has bugs...we bitch about it!
I'll take the real working, and sometimes not, product shown live before millions as a testament that these guys, Naughty Dog, are in a class all their own and something just happened. They'll get on whatever it plagues their games during development...even something like this, which was an incorrectly paired controller.
That would be a poor move. Koji Igarashi's Kickstarter was completely transparent as it pertains to a physical release for whatever platform you back. Furthermore, it's not as expensive as you'd think to self-publish physical releases on PS4. Heck, independent developer Vblank did so with Retro City Rampage for both PSV/PS4.
There's a reason it was on Sony's stage...

He says it isn't currently in the plan. That's not a nail in the coffin...why are we mincing words here?
...and what's the alternative? Oculus doesn't offer a consumer friendly option. If you're talking an all-in-one solution, well Sony is far more likely to be in the right price bracket to deliver to more than someone who doesn't have a PC.
Funny, but I didn't take his comment to be a slight against it's current aesthetic as a new-gen release, and more that it was pretty much the same post-apocalyptic aesthetic as previous games.
Was it a smartass comment? Sure! Was it intentionally inflammatory? Probably not.
*shrug*
I haven't really enjoyed post-Bungie Halo games...but I'll still pick up the new one.
I'm not really a fan of Gears. I tried! I enjoyed the first one, but something about the subsequent releases simply didn't sit will with me.
Forza, not my thing. If I want a driving sim, I'll take my gaming to Gran Turismo, or Project Cars. Heck, even Driveclub has made great strides since its rather rocky launch.
Rise of the Tomb Raider?...
I sure as heck would love another KOTOR-like experience. As much as I know those games gave way to the likes of Dragon Age, there was something magical about both of the KOTOR games, nostalgia drives the experience...no doubt, but damn they were fun.
Perhaps, but Baker is younger and doing a fine job carrying that iconic portrayal.
I don't know why you're getting the disagrees. Mark has gone on record stating he's done with the role, citing physical strain. Furthermore, Baker has already played Joker in three Arkham iterations, Origins, Blackgate, and Assault on Arkham. IF The Joker were to return for DLC, I'd put money on Baker reprising his role once again. He did a fantastic job of using Mark's iconic portrayal as his inspiration.
You know what? I own both systems, and I have this reserved for PS4. At the end of the day, we'll both be enjoying the same game...debating the differences, as minimal as they are, is incredibly juvenile. 180 lines isn't going to break the experience for anyone buying this on XBO.
