Sony did it with the PS1 and more so with the PS2. But unlike Microsoft they refused to replace your console for free.

So now we have rumors that Rare, Lionhead, Epic, Crytek, Turn 10, and Bungie are working on next-gen Xbox games.
The first game is a X360/X720 exclusive. They're "considering" a PS3/PS4 port in 2014. get your facts straight (Neogaf). Why are you mad anyway? Just get a X360/X720 if you want the game that badly.
I'm ready to bet a liver right now that this game is coming to the X360. Disagree all you want, but bookmark this page and bring it back up after E3.

People seem to forget that the 3DS has Nintendo 1st party software and had a massive price drop.
The Vita could drop the price, sure, but I don't see any game (Pokemon, Mario, Mon Hun-exclusive-, etc.) that could save it right now.

Battlefield 3, Asassin's Creed, Dead Space (and almost all other EA games) are advertised as PS3 exclusives and yet... Valve even gave you Portal 2 for free on PC if you bought the PS3 version...
