Sadly I don't think that will ever happen again. Now it's all about trying to screw you and take your money. That kind of things makes me dislike otherwise great games.
@Redempteur
I realize that but they still went in and made changes to the end of their game. I didn't say they created an entirely new ending. And Javik being a DLC character is EA's call, not Bioware. They can't really say no to EA as they're the ones publishing the game.
And no I don't eat whatever shit they throw at me. I was upset about the ending too. I wasn't so upset that I took to the internet and demanded a new ending. You kno...
How do they not right now? They changed the ending of their game over...what was it again? Oh yes, their fans being disappointed. They've got constant free DLC for Mass Effect multiplayer and continue to put out plenty of DLC for singleplayer. They care about fans, fans are just whiny, ungrateful b**ches.
Yeah MW2 was when they peaked. But I borrowed my brothers copy of BLOPS 2 and it's actually a lot of fun. The score streak was a great idea (people aren't focused on kills when there is an objective) and I like the class system. The only problem is the maps are awful.
The thing that people never seem to understand, is that series are milked because consumers want them to be milked. They'll buy it every year and will more or less enjoy it. It's not publishers fault that people like these games and there is enough demand to make one every year. In God of Wars case, I think Ascension was unnecessary, but there are plenty of people who will love the game.
It seems that Crytek doesn't understand how economics work. What is expensive today, will be cheap tomorrow. As technology develops, it becomes cheaper to produce and widely available to the public. Three years ago when they made that assumption, yes it was probably too expensive. But 5 or 6 years from now when we're gearing up for the next gen, it will not be. That's how stuff works.
I would kill for a comics app.
Good for him?
That's because saying it's milked implies that it is no longer a quality product. That is not the case with Assassin's Creed. Eventually, yeah, it will be a bad product if they keep it up. But with the multiple studios every game has a lot of development time and introduces new features and settings. Every game has been quality, some more so than others, but quality nonetheless.
And let you switch between Bruce Wayne and Batman based on what you need to do. That'd be awesome, adding another level of gameplay. They really only capture Batman in the other games, they need to explore the other side of the man.
They also use Hercules which is Roman. Heracles is the Greek name.
I agree with you. Switching mythologies would be cool, but I doubt they want to ditch Kratos. Even so, they could show the rise of Roman gods (even though they are essentially the same as Greek ones). But Norse or Egyptian mythology would be cool.
A game about the Ragnarok made by Santa Monics would be orgasmic.
I think RDR and AC2 should be in here.
I'm really excited for it. I'm also a big AC fan, so I may be a bit biased. It seems like they're bringing it back to more Ezio type stuff. Getting b****es, killing with style, and what not. I think the series has taken a downward plunge since AC2. The peak was AC2/Brotherhood depending on who you ask. Still, I love the games, and I'm excited for this one.
I honestly think all the hate for the series lately is because of a hive mind mentality. Same for the ha...
Neither did I. Glad I found out though.
Most of their inspiration was from PoP and the engine for AC was originally for a PoP game.
Honestly that whole second list is just a moot point seeing as how they were all on 360 as well. Yeah, Sony has a lot a great games, but trying to use multi plats to justify why one console is better is ridiculous. Especially since shooters on PS3 suck and they never utilize the triggers for actually shooting.
I honestly don't care about PS+. People act like it's like the second coming of Jesus. I guess it's nice, but really it's not nearly as good as everyone claims it is.
Then God said, "Let there be disagrees," and there were disagrees.
Of course it's about sales. People buy it so they assume that people want it. If you don't like the yearly releases, then don't buy it. Vote with your dollar, that's how capitalism works.
And I might add that the vast majority of people who play Assassin's Creed have no problem with yearly releases. Most people here do, but N4G isn't exactly representative of the entire gaming population.
