Is the only reason to get this console. Traditional video games don't really lend themselves to the wii control style. IMO id rather not play something like prince of persia with a wiimote but baseball or even racing is another story. The wiimote feels tacked on at the end for most of the multi platform games.

...and as we all know if the hardware sucks the games mean nothing.I'm hoping that they fix the hardware issues on the elite so that i can feel confident purchasing a 360 instead of throwing in a bigger hdd and tacking on an hdmi.
I want one but i will not buy one until im absolutely sure that it wont overheat in the middle of a game.

The install base is what it is because for a year there was no competition.
The demo for this game was no good on the PC.
Because I'd like to play Bioshock without overheating, crashing or causing damage to my game disc.

PC's are always going to be better for gaming (if thats the focus of your rig) but there is alot to be said for the console experience. It just does more for me. 19 inch LCD and a computer chair or a 50 inch plasma and a nice comfy couch, console wins my vote. After 5 hours of playing WOW I like to relax on the couch, you get the drift.

It's the games that sell a system thats why the 360 is doing so well right now. Price means nothing, when people see a game they really want to play they WILL buy the system. Be it now or sometime in the future.
Besides the PS3 is not overpriced by any means, you get what you pay for.
When the games come we'll look at the headlines and see how the PS3 is faring, and the games are coming.
Of course sales are gonna drop thats a no brainer.
If they didn't the 360 would be in big trouble now as opposed to later.
...and if you do you will see that after MGS was released on PS2 sales of the PS2 took off.
