I'm holding out for the 2nd gen dx11. Unless you're buying a pc right now or simply can't wait, wouldn't you want comparison specs? Plus the 1st gen is always risky, you get burnt on price and then improvements come out.
I'm running 3.8GHz i7 (X58), 6GB DDR3, o/c GTX285, 24" IPS panel, 1920x1200. While I'm keen to utilise DX11 especially with Dirt 2, I'm holding out for later dx 11 releases.

runs like a dream, all max >60fps. Best track side visuals in racing game I've seen. Handling is so/so.

There's DLC? I haven't heard anything about DLC for VC. I'm only on Chpt 4 at the moment. Its superb. So refreshing to have a title like this after so long just playing fps/driving etc
Fully agreed. Damage needs to be there. Not a later DLC but there from the off. If it is out come the end of 2010 because of it, then so be it.

You're not alone. If your system can handle it, it worth it. I prefer it over xp which is dated. Both are dated compared to osx though.
Is the pc really the centre? If anything it would be ps3/360. both with streaming capabilities DLNA, xvid, divx, netflix, bluray, dvd, music, photos, browser etc.
Is the pc that popular in the living room. Initiatives such as viiv and shuttle pcs etc haven't hit mainstream?
