There's a certain side note that many are ignoring.
This game was under fire for certain controversies. Those same people are reviewing this game and probably having a ball with it.
All I've heard is that the story is amazing. Maybe there's not enough lgbtq stuff for some journos.

Not for ps4. It was flying off the shelves.
Xbox on the other hand was easily found. was easily able to get one after launch.
It's not profitable if your employees leave. It's also technically not profitable since it isn't a selling point.
The worst of actual bad crunch culture, and i mean anything outside the normal crunch expected with any project, is not profitable it's immoral.

Actually not the case if you look at history before christianity spread everywhere. Funnily enough international relations are problematic today with all the areas/countries that christianity didn't get a foothold.

I think you're looking at a complete different game then.
The graphics on this game far surpass almost anything out there.
So the real question then is why wasn't the witcher 3 looked at with the same expectation.

Apart from the situation with the base consoles...everything has been blown out of proportion.
The game is still selling because people, more and more are getting upgrades from the base consoles and are likely playing without much issue.
Especially since they've reportedly already patched up quite a bit of the serious problems
And that's just to show gameplay. Don't even know if they'll be any good. Or maybe even delayed 2 more years. Or canceled.

That was my issue with AC. Black flag is also the last one I played.
The combat got boring after a while. Especially once you're pretty strong and ca just wipe an entire city.
Honest gamers don't give two shits about who is behind the game. They either enjoy it or they don't.
I personally don't care about who is behind any of the games I play and enjoy.
Ubisoft does make games very similar only shallower. Please don't tell me the assassin's creed combat loop isn't repetitive... what entry are we on?
Game was $60 and very refundable.
Pushing back a game shouldn't be an excuse to bash more...if anything it should have created more caution.
