This OP was actually easy to read, cut out fluff, and nailed the point. Rare these days.
"I think that the decision to implement microtransactions into this kind of open world sand-box game was completely crowbarred in. I don’t mind the occasional cosmetic option but for Shadow of War I definitely do not want to feel urged to spend money in order to skip content that is supposed to be the bread and butter of gameplay.
We lose great franchises when you throw narrow minded & blatant political narratives into games. Games are meant to escape our social climate; not see the stupidity for what it is
Nothing beats my 360 fiasco of RROD, I was probably a very small minority but Microsoft (not a bad customer service tho) 'fixed' my 360, died a week after it was returned. They decided to give me a new refurb (heh) and that RROD after a month even with thermal paste fix.
But, this was probably all related to my past COD abuse, back when it was still fun.
Over promised, little budget, horrid writing, lame galaxy, overly politicized. Hot pile of garbage and you know it when they felt fixing intimate 'scenarios' would make the game better.
Yeah, it's sad and spot on "C- treatment". After release they decided pandering to certain people was more important than a quality product. After killing the same enemy recolored 4 difficerent ways, I tossed this gargantuan garbage out of my digital library. It's officially my last ME pre- order or purchase.
Sony slipped by not using the d-pad implementation from N64 and trying to make new IPs with a 'story' don't they realize we're just kids that faceroll on controllers screaming at the TV while we play COD?!? Smh.
110% missing the point

IMHO, I am more curious how Destiny 2 ripples for the rest of my family. (Split for XB or PS) although the odds are 1/4 for Xbox vs ps

RE7 re established faith in the IP for me (and my father).
@edmix
Want to know what some of the first things that needed to be addressed as expressed by BW/EA?
-need to fix gay sex scenes
-address conversation dialog of Hainley Abrams to correctly convey transgender quality
-change Jaal into a bisexual alien
Right, not SJW thinking there, we all give a flying squirrel for those updates.
ME:A was horrible compared to any part of the trilogy.
The game was littered with over politicized controversial material, poor writing, lack of diverse enemies, animations of claymation, etc.
Bad game, needs to die.

True, and something about her being witnessed as a child the first hour of the game - having a love interest isnt a priority nor interesting.
EA & Bioware limped in a cripple of one of my most favored game series. Should have ended it after ME2.
DOA, RIP ME
Actually reading the article; and the comments listed thereafter - Seems the hate is real, fluid, and strong.
Pretty rough still, +1 for luck though.
I am none of those people, kthx
